Vendor Recs...please!please!please

Hi Ladies, I am orginally from Florida and my FI is from Detroit. We are getting married in Downtown Detroit. I had a few vendors in mind but due to my father passing away our budget has been drastically cut and I need to re-evaluate for cost. Could you all provide me with vendors that maybe even work out of their homes (i.e. Michelle Nonis) but have proven track records...any help would be appreciated: Florist: Baker: Custom Invitations (maybe letterpress): Aribrush Make-up Artist (I am multi-racial): Videography: DJ: Limo: Also, anyone who has a fall theme and maybe wants to share the cost of reception decor??? Thanks ladies

Florist: Parsonage. Doesn't work out of her home, but has great cost saving ideas.Custom Invites: I used an art school student named Emily Cowdrey. You can see an example of what she designed in my bio, but she does all types of designs. She's at ecowdrey@collegeforcreativestudies.edu. I also had my invites printed by a local company-DaSilva Printing. I wanted letterpress, but couldn't afford it. They did thermography for me, which is raised printing. It turned out great and I got tons of compliments.DJ: Moonboogie MediaInfo and reviews for all of these are in my bio. HTHs! Good luck!!

I am really sorry to hear about your father. Here are some suggestions: Cake: Chocolate Bar Cafe in Grosse Pointe Woods. Most flavors and basic fillings are $1.95/slice and it is delicious! Invites: Kathleen at Plush Paper. She will work with your budget! Letterpress is ridiculously expensive, so I would not limit yourself to that if you are watching costs. Limo: We used a trolley (review in bio) and it was the most cost effective for us and our large group we were carting around. Wyandotte Trolly...they were awesome! DJ: We were so happy with our DJ, John at JD Entertainment. I think we paid around $800 for 6 hours. Florist: They do not work out of their home, but do amazing work and will stick with your budget, Blumz in Ferndale or downtown Detroit.

If you click on the link to my bio, go to the vendor reviews, that will help with everything but the limo and invitations.

If you really want a reasonably priced DJ use my friend. I have known him for 7 years and we both worked at DRQ. He also used to work for Mike Staff Productions but started his own business. We have a mutual friend that used him and said she got nothing but awesome comments about him the whole night. I was truely impressed. The dance floor was packed the whole night. The company is Cinderella's Wedding DJ's ask for Josh Baker. The website is www.cinderellasweddingdjs.comIf you don't have a photographer already please check this person out www.AmandaWilliamsPhotography.comAmanda is the persons name and she truely does amazing work and is also the lowest price I could find $1,250. Someone on this site recomended her to me and I'm so glad I checked her out.I hope this helps and good luck and congrats
