San Marino Club

Hi Everyone, Thank you again for all your help!  We're finally in Michigan searching for a venue and vendors.  We have looked into the San Marino Club, and it looks pretty nice.  Has anyone had their wedding there or been to a wedding?  I'm wondering about their service and food.   Thank you!!!!!

I had my reception there and people couldn't stop talking about how nice it was.  Food is excellent!  Everybody raved about the food and wanted 2nds.  Cost is pretty reasonable.  We had the buffet and is was cheaper than per plate & family style.  Standard bar is included with the price per person (on all dinner options) and is open for 6 hours from the time the reception starts.  We had them take off the relish tray and fresh fruit tray on the buffet and had them for our hors d'oeuvres (great way to save money and there is an hour from when the reception starts to when the dinner is served).  We had 100 people and had more than enough room for everybody.  The 2 rooms on the end hold 220 ppl and I think the room in the middle holds roughly 350 give or take.  The walls on the end rooms can open up to the middle hall to hold more ppl.  We had our bridal table along the wall with the windows (had the room on the far right).  Service was good and you have a server designated to you and your DH the whole night (they make sure you have everything you need and take care of bringing your plate to your table if you have the buffet).  The front of the building and the lobby are great places to have your pictures taken (we forgot about it until it was too late).  The only suggestion I have is when it is time to cut the cake, you have them cut it in the room with you instead of them bringing it in the back to cut (somehow we didn't get all of our cake and the cake was made for at least 250 ppl). You can check out my bio for more info.  HTH

My friends are members and I've been there for multiple weddings and showers.  The food and service were good and there are some nice spots for pictures.
