Poll: Staycation

Ok so I'm finally off this week (wahoo!).  I definitely have some errands to run, but am trying to come up with some other things to do.  So.. if you were off for a week and home, what would you do with your time?

Ugh – I hate stay-cations but sometimes we do have to take them!!  I had one last month & it flew by.  Besides the usual errands and cleaning, I’d say maybe today & tomorrow go to the pool (a local one if you don’t have your own) or beach and spend the day in the sun since it’s going to be so nice out.  Maybe spend a day somewhere like Frankenmuth or Birch Run or something as well.

Or go to a Tigers game if they’re here?

I had a stay-cation last month and LOVED it. Do the usual errands that you have to do, and do things that you normal reserve for weekends, go to the mall, make day trip to an outlet mall, I like Howell's outlet mall maybe more then Birch Run, but I'm not a crowd person. Basically, do whatever you want ;)

I do so much during the week that when I have a day off, I quite literally sit on my a** and watch TV ALL DAY. Maybe get in a workout or walk the dog if it's very nice outside, but I rarely spend my days off doing stuff.

I'm with you Meret!! I only have to work on Thursday this week! Woohoo :):) I'm gonna be working on a lot of wedding DIY, definately be going to the mall (maybe down to Partridge Creek too), & just relaxing and spending some quality time with my puppy :)

Hmmm... go see a movie, get a mani/pedi and maybe grab a cup of coffee and get lost at the bookstore. Those are my faves for some time wasting. :)

canoe/kayak try a new restaurant check out some cookbooks from the library and try new recipes (i do this) go to a museum or two, tigers game, go to a local concert go to a brew and view read read read :) go get some cheaper wines from trader joes or a good party store and try to find a new decent table wine/staple (my mom and i do this. it's fun.) catch up on movies, how about the zoo? have a board game tournament (do this allll the time. it's fun while doing the wine thing, too) for a day out i'd probably give myself a challenge like "go downtown and only go to places you've never been and do thing's you've never done" if you have a backyard and the equipment: i'd "camp." set up a tent, get a fire pit, and do it up right. mostly, i'd sit around and never shower. lol
