Workout and diet accountability??

Would any of you ladies be interested in participating in daily workout and diet accountability post? I know that they have this over on the getting in shape board, but I am looking for a more intimate board where people will actually get on me to be accountable!! The format would look like this for each day:

Breakfast:
Lunch:
Dinner:
Snack:
Exercise:

You could post your actual diet/exercise for that day or what you planned on eating/doing. I probably won't post my weight but if you want to post that or your goals, that would be great too!

Any takers?

Re: Workout and diet accountability??

  • I am willing to participate but I would prefer a weekly check in and I find that the details of my diet is hard to keep up with so I probably wouldn't do that part.  I would, however, be willing to share my exercise plan and weight loss progress with everyone.   On another board that I participate on we found that the weekly check-ins worked best but if you do go weekly here I will try to chime in as often as I can.

  • I would be interested too!  But I also think once a week is easier for me.  My downfall is the weekend.  I'm so healthy and on track during the week, but the weekend hits and it's almost impossible to be healthy, there's always birthdays, happy hours, drinking beer at fests and baseball games.  My body literally fluctuates with my social life.  Anyone else have this weekend problem?
  • Me as well... keep me posted ladies!!

  • Awesome! Here's my idea, I will do a post every Monday where we can discuss our weekly progress, but I have also made a group on myfitnesspal (MFP) where we can find each other for more daily accountability. The group is August 2013 brides, and you should be able to find it by just searching in groups.

For anyone not familiar with MFP, its an app/website where you log your daily food and exercise. It's free to use, and pretty convient if you use the app. You can add different members as "friends" to see their logs and encourage them. My username is skra620.

I'll put up the first accountability post on Monday, so let's stay on track this weekend!!

That's what I use! I am looking to lose another 10-15 (i've already dropped 30 since last September).  My main thing is to build muscle and get more lean.  I am not dress shopping till January or February for this reason cause I refuse to try on a dress with a size bigger than a 6!!

    I like Jillian Michaels!

    I'll check out MFP Laughing

    Hi,

Just a word of caution - bridal dresses are sized MUCH smaller than real clothes, so if you want to wear a bridal 6, that's 0-2 in real life.

I used to work for a designer and encountered many brides who refused to try on dresses because of the size, or insisted on wearing dresses that were less than flattering because it's what they wanted to be seen in. The size is on the inside of the dress, and no one will know what it is but you - and it's far from an accurate depiction of the hard work you're doing right now.

Focus on being fit and healthy, and whether the dress is a 6 or a 26, you'll make a beautiful bride!
