Reception Venue without the catering

Hey!

I am looking for a great venue for my reception, but I want to bring in my own caterer.  Do you know of places that let you bring in whoever you want?  Thanks for your help!

Pick up a copy of Columbus Bride magazine. I found it very helpful when I was planning my wedding.

Swim and Racquet Club in Upper Arlington off Kenny Rd. You get to bring your own alcohol too. :)

I think most places you can talk to about the option of bringing in your own caterer.  I know that the venue I work at has a chef, but we have had outside caterers come in to prepare for weddings. It never hurts to ask possible venues.

My suggestion would be find a venue that you love and talk to the manager/coordinator or the place about outside catering options. If they want your business bad enough, they will be flexible.  HTH!

How much does the Valley Dale cost? I couldn't find anything on the website about it. TIA

I tour the Valley Dale on Tuesday.  They don't give you prices =/ But I have heard you have to pay $300 to hire police because of the area. I'll let you know how Tuesday goes.

You do have to hire 1 security guard per 300 people. My wedding will be held at the Valley Dale next June :) For drinks, rental, etc. we paid about 3k. If you need more details feel free to PM me, I have a copy of their contract and prices and such. Oh, and my wedding is on a Friday. Saturday has a 3,750 minimum, and we actually switched our date so we could afford it. You get 5 hrs, $200 per extra hour.
