To solder rings or not??

Good morning ladies,
I've been back and forth with this issue and I cannot decide if I want to do this or not. What do you think or what did you married ladies do? And here's my other question....if you DO decide to do this, do you have it done before the wedding so that when he puts the ring on your finger, they're already soldered together? I'm confused about that part. Thoughts?

My cousin got married on May 13th and had a double band sodered with the engagement one in the middle.  It was beautiful.  I am actually thinging about adding another band and doing the same to mine now.

I did not have mine soldered together. My rings are not a set either. E-ring is just a solitare. I didn't want them together b/c should I just decide to wear the band, I can do just that. That being said, I have heard of people having them soldered together and then getting another perhaps just plain band to wear when you don't want to wear the entire set.

I have the ability to get mine soldered but chose not to because of redipping. Should something happen to just one of the bands in the set and you get your set re-dipped to reinforce it, it would be impossible to do. I feel like soldering them together would limit your abilities to have versitility with your set. Should you go somehwere and don't want to worry about loosing your e-ring, you can just wear your band etc etc.

I thought about getting 3 single eternity bands and soldering them together. I wasn't planning on wearing my engagement ring (but will eventually get it re-sized for my right hand) and I liked the look of a wide band. I would have soldered the 3 rings together just so it would look like one band and they would always be perfectly aligned. But I ended up finding a 3 row eternity band that I loved, so that's what I wear in lieu of my engagement ring and a wedding band.
