Reviews? - Detroit Greektown Casino & Hotel

Hi everyone, I'm new to The Knot (just got engaged this past weekend!).

My fiance and I are really interested in having our reception at the Greektown Casino Hotel. We love the downtown atmosphere, and we absolutely love Greektown!

Just wondering - has anyone here had their wedding receptions at the Greektown Casino Hotel? If so, how was it? Anything you didn't like about it?

Welcome and Congratulations! I'm not sure about the casino hotel; I've never been to anything other than the gaming area.  However the Atheneum hotel is beautiful inside.  We've had our work Xmas parties there when I worked for H&R Block.  It's right next to the casino as well so you may even want to check them out as well.  GL!

Hello all! Just found this post! I just got engaged and my fiance Tim and I are thinking about getting married at a church in downtown Detroit and having the reception at Greektown Casino and Hotel. Has anyone had their reception at Greektown Casino/Hotel? Did you and your guests enjoy the venue and did you stay overnight in the rooms?
