Goodells County Park

Has anyone gotten married and had their reception at goodells county park?  If so, can you give me ideas on how to decorate or if you have any pictures to see the look inside the barns.  Thanks

I'm looking into having my reception there also. I didn't think anyone else on here lived out that way. When are you getting married?

My brother lives right across the street from the park! It is beautiful! Never been to a wedding there though!

I dont have an exact date yet.  But I'd like to do it in September, but i can't picture the barn decorated country but elegant.  When are you planning on it?

  @ asymon- Some time in October, I want to go look at it this weekend. I've been there for the 4H fair lots of times but the FI hasn't so im trying to convince him. I think if I just express how much I want it he'll say yes. 

  We're not doing a country theme though. As for Ideas I don't know maybe wild flowers for centerpieces if your into flowers. And lots of sunflowers. Hummm. I don't know but you just gave me a challenge, if i come up with any decorating ideas I'll be sure to pass them on to you. Good luck planning.

  @ July03- I live (when im not a school) on plams road with my grandma. It's nice to know that people in the city acutally know where it is. Everytime someone at school asks me where I wnet to high school. I tell them Memphis, and they all this tennessee. Then when I tell them where it really is they are just confused. Oh well is the price you pay for living in a small town, I guess.

My fiance and I are looking into Goodells too but can't find any pictures of weddings held there. We're having a terrible time trying to find an outdoor venue around port huron for our wedding. If anyone has suggestions or pictures that'd be great.
