Our wedding is next September in Port Clinton, Ohio (about 20 minutes west of Sandusky) on Lake Erie. I'm just now starting to look at DJs. I am going to ask our reception site if they have any recommendations, but going off their initial list it's just names and telephone numbers and haven't found any websites for them. I'd feel more comfortable going with a DJ company with a lot of experience than someone who does it on the side which it sounds like these people might do. Initially I was thinking about looking at DJs from Toledo but I'd like to meet with them in person, and we aren't planning on going up there anymore this year. I filled out Night Music's (in Columbus) online form to request information, and they wrote me back saying they are unavailable. I assume it's because the wedding is out of town, since they have several DJs and it's over a year away.
Whew- anyway, does anyone know of any Columbus DJs that would be able to travel 2.5 hours away to do our wedding? Do a lot of DJs in the industry travel? It was no problem for our photographer to agree to make the trip (with an extra fee), but I'm not sure if it will be as easy with a DJ, if that's something they normally do. I'd be able to pay travel or hotel costs.
