Bridesmaid Luncheon

Are you hosting a luncheon for your attendants? If so, where? I'm looking for some ideas.

Welcome to the Detroit board Tiffany!

My wedding is a way off, but I'd been thinking about this. Because two of our attendants are our teen daughters, the other two are mature like me, I wanted to do something together that all will enjoy. I'm planning on booking some time at the Creative Art Studio in Royal Oak on 4th St near Main so we can do something together, and they have a vase, jewelry, ceramic or glass plate or something else to remember the event. They have big tables in the middle, and you decide upon what craft you want to make, then bring all the items to the table and do it. I made a glass fused candle holder out of broken glass, and my daughter made a plate with a rose in the middle for her grandma. You leave it with them, they fire it, then pick it up 10-14 days later.

Then we'll probably go to one of the restaurants on Main St like Memphis Smoke, Andiamo's, Tom's Oyster Bar, Mr B's, for lunch afterward.

There are so many fun or elegant (depending on your taste) restaurants around like Slow's BBQ, Andiamo's on the Detroit River, Coach at the top of the Ren Cen. It just depends on what you and your bridal party like.

    Good luck.

I'm planning to host one, but I haven't decided where yet. There are a lot of nice places for lunch including Capital Grille, Morton's, The Whitney (for Sunday brunch), and The Townsend for afternoon tea.

No, I'm not doing a luncheon. I wouldn't want my girls to have to take time off of work! So instead I am giving gifts @ the rehearsal dinner and brunch the next morning at my mom's house where we are getting ready!
