Looking for a place to do my wedding cake my wedding is in September just started planning so I'm already exhausted I live in the northwest Detroit area

We got ours from Josef's in Grosse Pointe.  It was so moist and only cost us just over $2 per person.  It was by far the cheapest around.  We also only did a 4 tier cake and then 2 sheet cakes.

We are getting our from Southgate bakery. Its in southgate. They were the best priced we found and their chocolate cake is amazing!

I've heard that Lakes Cakes in Commerce is really good.  Also, Love & Buttercream ( www.loveandbuttercream ) is supposed to be good.  Their website looks cool, they sound like a great company.

Our cake was from Holiday Market in Royal Oak (they also catered our wedding). The appearance of the cake was not that important to us, but the taste was. We had yellow cake with Passion Fruit Mousse filling and it was to die for! Even our wedding coordinator raved about it, and she doesn't like cake.

Don't go by the prices online. We got a 2 layer cake, enough to feed 100 (only 80 showed up) for $130. We supplied our own cake topper.

We used elite sweets in livonia. We had a large cake table with 12 different flavored torte cakes and then a small traditional two tiered wedding cake. All the flavors are amazing and the prices are pretty comparable to all the other bakeries.

Oh, and FWIW, we're using Mr. Cake out of Ann Arbor.  He works out of his house and he doesn't do MANY weddings, but his cakes taste really good and he is only $1.80/slice...can't beat that!
