Addressing Save the Dates

This is probably a stupid question but do you address Save the Dates to include "and guest" or only on the formal invitation?

I did not include any "and guest."  If I knew the person's significant other, I included that on the STD, even if they didn't live together. I think the additions can be saved for the invitation. Particularly if you may end up deciding some people aren't going to be given a +1, for whatever reason.

 I did the same as Noble - I wanted to keep my options open, because once you've put that +1 or guest out there, there is no going back!
