    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon?  Probably the west coast of Oregon...random I know, but my FI has been researching and there are a bunch of little beach towns with bars and restaurants and some have casinos.  Plus it's really affordable
    What made you decide on that location? We wanted a really relaxing honeymoon that didn't involve too much sightseeing and we just went to mexico a couple years ago and don't have enough time to fly all the way out to Hawaii.  
    Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go? I really wanted to go to Hawaii but my FI is a soccer coach and tryouts are the next week after our wedding and we wanted 2 weeks to go to Hawaii

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite? I of course really liked Disney World in Orlando...we would go every 4 years it was like a tradition.  But I also really liked going to Gulf Shores, AL.  We went every Spring break until college, and my mom and entire family still goes!  I went a couple times in college and I just love it down there!

    We are going to Sandals Ochos Rios Jamaica.  We wanted something all inclusive, with beach and pools.  We decided on this with the help of a travel agent because we were very clueless on to where to go.  I am super happy with our decision and can't wait to go.

    My favorite place to go is Disney World.  I am a nut about Disney and I can't wait to go again!

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon?  What made you decide on that location?  Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?  We are either going to Greece or Hawaii. I want to go to Greece because we've been to Hawaii, but Hawaii would be more relaxing and affordable....so we'll see.

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?  I grew up in North Carolina, and we used to love going to Hilton Head!

    Hawaii!! We’re splitting our time between Lanai and Maui. We wanted to go somewhere that neither of us had been before. I cannot wait!

    My family went camping every summer – I’m not a big camper, but always looked forward to our annual trip to Caseville on Labor Day. I also really liked going to DisneyWorld     J

     What made you decide on that location?  Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go? We had planned on Australia but we are rethinking that 


    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?  I loved going to visit my uncle because he moved all through the US so it was fun to take road trips and see new places

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon? 
    Still deciding, we wanted to go to Ireland because we would rather go sightseeing and and experience the culture than lay on a beach all week.  However, we decided all inclusive resort makes it easier to budget.  Most likely we will choose an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean, so far we really like Couples Resort Tower Isle in Jamaica. 
    What made you decide on that location? 
    We like the idea of all inclusive so we can prepay for almost everything.  The Couples resort we like is affordable, has good activities and it looks pretty.

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?
    Growing up I loved our family vacation to Disney World for obvious reasons.

    We are going to P*nta Cana, in the Dominican Republic!  I have such cabin fever at the moment so I can't wait!

    What made you decide on that location?  Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?
    We knew we wanted an AI in the Caribbean and this was in our budget (actually under!)

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?
    We went to family camp every summer growing up (sounds corny) but it was a lot of fun.  Just a time to relax, fish, and just spend time with the family.

    I definitely feel the same way...so we are having our honeymoon at Disney World! I'm so excited, but definitely trying to make it different from other trips we've taken there - I've promised FI that I will relax and slow down a lot more than I usually do at Disney, haha. We're staying at the Contemporary Resort, which is a deluxe hotel, and we have the deluxe dining plan so that we can eat at some very nice restaurants. Also planning on doing some things we've never done before, like behind the scenes tours and a Cirque du Soleil show.

    EEK we finally decided in this past week that we're going to Myrtle Beach!  It was a pretty hard decision because at first we really wanted to go somewhere tropical or to Hawaii but it was SO far out of our budget.  FI's aunt and uncle have a time share in Myrtle Beach and generously offered for us to use it free of charge which is amazing.  So they are checking to make sure the dates work out and then we'll be booking our flight and rental car this week! 

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?
    Disney by far.  I love disney world.  I've gone three times in my life (5 years old, 9 years old, 14 years old) and I cannot wait to go again.  The time I remember most fondly though is the middle time when I was in 3rd grade.  I had the time of my life.

    What made you decide on that location?  We wanted to go somewhere warm and tropical.  And definately an all-inclusive.  After some research, we decided that Ocho Rios would be a great destination.

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?  My favorite vacation was going down to Stuart, FL.  My grandparents were down there, so it was always a special treat to go down to visit them.

    We are going on 2 -week long cruises out of Puerto Rico.  Pray for no hurricanes!  We love cruising, and we were originally going to go to Australia or Hawaii but we wanted more time if we went to those places (at least 3 weeks, esp for Australia) and with having to take a week off to fly back to MI for the wedding it just wasn't happening.

    My mom was born and raised in Italy and kept saying she wanted to take us.  Well, when it came down to it, we couldn't afford it, so we went to P*nta Cana in the Dominican Republic instead.  So fun (Liz, you are going to love it!)

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon?  What made you decide on that location?  Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?  We are going to Hawaii.  Not sure what islands yet as my parents have to figure out their time share situation and doing some trading.  We will be gone from May 8-25th.
    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite? We took a lot of family vacations growing up, it would be hard to pick just one. I can remember Grand Ole Opry, Stone Mountain, Graceland, Ashville, NC, Disney World, etc etc

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon? 
    We're still deciding.  Originally, I wanted to go to Puerto Rico, but we might be going this year instead for DH's brother's destination wedding (maybe).  Just yesterday, he mentioned going to the UP instead around L'anse and Baraga. 

    What made you decide on that location? 
    PR: I'm Puerto Rican and have family there.  The last three times I went, I enjoyed myself so much.  It's absolutely beautiful there (as long as it's not raining).  UP:  We went up in September and had an amazing time.  It was too cold to swim or anything, but in July 2012, I'm sure it'll be great!

    Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?
    Well, thanks to PP, I'm starting to want to go to Disneyland, lol!  I've always wanted to go somewhere in Europe like the Greek ruins, Finland (DH is Finnish), or Spain. 

    What was your favorite vacation growing up? 
    It would have to be between going to Puerto Rico or to Disneyworld. 

    What made it your favorite?
    Puerto Rico: all the sights and things to do, the beaches, sun, and culture.  Disney world: getting Minnie Mouse's autograph, lol.

    Hi!  Have been checking out the boards for about a month or two, but now gettng into the planning, so will probably be posting more.

    If you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?  We are talking about Mexico and more specifically Cabo San Lucas.  We are traveling in late October, so it seems to be a place with good weather at that time of year.  We are looking for an all-inclusive that has room service and all-access dining.  We don't want to be restricted to certain days, etc.  Also looking into gettng a reserved cabana or swim-up suite.  Open to any suggestions - doesn;t have to be in Mexico

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite?  Alabama - was very relaxed and the weather was great.

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon?  We are going to Italy on a tour through Venice, Florence, Rome, and some other smaller cities. SO EXCITED
    What made you decide on that location?  I have always wanted to go to Europe, eventually I would like to see most all of the countries. FI's family is from Italy and it seems like a romantic country with TONS to see. (We preferred something where we'd be more busy doing stuff. I'm especially the type of person who gets bored and likes to be moving doing stuff) We decided a tour would be best for us because we don't know the language and we probably would end up getting lost on our own. Plus it includes all breakfasts and half the dinners:)
    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  What made it your favorite? We went on a cruise last year, and that was truely the most fun I ever had on vacation! I loved every minute of it. There was sooo much to do! I can't wait to go on another one someday :)

    We're still deciding but we may go to Lowes in San Diego for 3 days and then drive to LA for 2 days.  

    Fello Knottie Sue recomemnded it and I looked at their website and it seems prety nice.

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?  Chicago.I loved the big city and all the stores.

    The conversation where we decided on it was actually pretty funny. Here it is in script form:
    FI: Are you sure you want to go to Disney for our honeymoon? What about someplace tropical like Hawaii?
    Me: We could stay at the Polynesian, it's tropical.
    FI: If you want to that would be okay, but I think I'd like the cool modern ones like the Contemporary better.
    Me: Okay, do you want me to go ahead and reserve the Contemporary then?
    Him: Yeah, that would be cool.


    I apparantely managed to somehow completely distract him from the Hawaii thing, haha! He kind of realized it later, but too late, I'd already made the deposit. But he knew that was what I had my heart really set on so I'm glad he's okay with it. To do something nice back I let him book a Beatles cover band for the reception. I think that makes us pretty even, haha.

    Where are you going/did you go on your honeymoon?  We will be going to (likely) Chiang Mai, Thailand.

    What made you decide on that location?  Both of us love the asian culture (we want a japanese themed dining room) and the fact that everything there, once you arrive, is fairly cheap (example: $10 a meal) was a big factor.  Plus, we want to go jungle exploring and my aunt is giving us her timeshare that has a location in Chiang Mai that we can use for free (best present so far).

    Or if you haven't decided yet, where would you really like to go?     If we don't go to Chiang Mai, we are thinking of Tuscany or possibly Scotland or even the Redwood Forest. (We are clearly outdoor people)

    What was your favorite vacation growing up?      DisneyWorld.  I went when I was 6 and then went again last summer and still remembered where everything was.

    What made it your favorite? The only other vacations I went on growing up was camping so DisneyWorld was awesome for me.
