B. Ella bridal opinions

Hi gals,

I have gone through the stickies as best as I can, but was wondering if I could get any other information about brides who purchased their gown from B. Ella (they just moved their location to downtown Plymouth from Northville, and I believe they have a location in Ann Arbor). I found my dream dress there over the weekend and had a great shopping experience with them. I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

I went to the location in Ann Arbor and didn't have a great experience. The girl kept trying to make me try on a dress that was more than double my original budget. She was very unhelpful and the whole place just felt very stuck up. It wasn't until another person (the manager, possibly owner) stepped in that we really got any where. It sounds like you had a good experience, though. I don't know what they are like to purchase from, but I would not recommend them for the experience I had at the Ann Arbor location. Just one opinion!

  • I also didnt have a good experience. I went to the one in Northville right before they moved about 6 weeks ago. They were just really unhelpful, I had no idea how to go about locating the dresses I was interested in trying on, and they really didnt seem interested in helping me. I was really disappointed, because I had heard good things. I am going to end up getting my dress from Sarahs Bridal in Milan, they were 100x more helpful and had exactly the type of dresses I was looking for.

  • My mom looked at MOB dresses in their Northville location and they were quite unhelpful.  The girls just sat at the counter playing on the computer, almost completely ignoring us.  It seemed like they couldnt be bothered with helping anyone.
  • It sounds like if you had a good experience, and found your dream dress you should buy it there!  If you want to try someplace else, I got my dress at The Gown Shop in Ann Arbor and the experience was (and still is) wonderful.  Appointments are one at a time, so you have the full attention of Stacy, the owner. She is really great to work with, knows her stuff and is very sweet.  I have loved my entire experience.  She only carries a few select designers, so it may not suit everyone tastes or budget.  There is a lot of good info on her website.  Good luck!
  • Ask for Larry at the Downtown Plymouth location. He's awesome and will take care of you!
