Reception Venue

Hi All :) I'm a newby..... Getting married August 2011. I am looking for a reception location that can also hold a ceremony. Does anyone have any suggestions? Looking for something between $30.00-$40.00 a plate . I appreciate everyones help and thank you in advance!

    Mystic Creek Golf Club in Milford... its inside Camp Dearborn. They are absolutely wonderful & their new coordinator, Tracy is AWESOME!!

    Congrats & welcome :-) What area are you hoping to have your wedding in??? That may make it easier for suggestions since there are soooooo many places :0)

    Welcome & congrats! In addition to the area you are looking in, it helps to know how many people as some venues have maximum capacity.

    Hey girls thanks for the tips. We are inviting aproximately 140 and we're hoping to do it in macomb county or in the close surrounding areas. not too specific mainly concerned with the price. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

    Beacon Hill Golf Course in Commerce Twp has a beautiful outdoor ceremony site with a decent sized reception hall, not in macomb, but something to keep in mind.... GL!

    The Myth in Oakland Twp has a great special starting at $38.00 a person.  100 person min.- so you should be fine with yout number.  That includes a basic bar- there are great upgrades that you can add- they also have a beautiful area for a ceremony.

    The food at Zuccaro's is exceptionally good. There is one in Clinton Twp. and one in Chesterfield Twp. I went to a wedding at the one in Chesterfield, and it was really beautiful.
    Also my sorority sister had her shower at the Italian American Cultural Center in Clinton Twp. The food there was also very very good.

    I'm having mine at the Thomas Walsh Activity Center at Metro Beach for a cost of:

    $600 Reception Rental
    $50 Cermony Gazebo Rental
    $20-$25 a plate for dinner

    It's all glass - you can see the lake - it's quite pretty  :)

    Gino's Surf... they have a smaller room that holds up to 160...glass windows overlooking the lake...and they have a gazebo outside for your ceremony... we booked for Sept 2011.

    I'm having my ceremony and reception at Greystone Goft Club in Romeo (we are expecting approx 185ppl). They have a gorgeous pergola outside on the lake for an outdoor ceremony and a great room inside for reception. let me know if you want any additional information. :)
