Newbie!!

Hello Ladies!!
How is everyone??

I just signed up the other day... Was on years ago for a friends wedding, but that didn't happen!! My FI and I are getting married on August 16, 2010. We're having a Rockabilly themed wedding! I'm way excited! Our colors will be red & black... I'm looking to book some sort of theatre (hopefully downtown) to have the ceremony. I would like to put out names on the marquee!

I met Steve about 4 years ago and instantly fell in love. We have sort of a Johnny & June love story... Things didn't always work out for us along the way but here we are completely in love and ready to make it official!

Not quite sure what else to say, but feel free to ask lots of questions!!

    08/2012 IVF #1, 2 5-day blasts transferred 8/19 = BFP! Beta 1 (8/28)=241, Beta 2 (8/30)=457, Beta 3 (9/5)=3,813, u/s 9/13=Twins!, u/s 9/21=Surprise...there's one more! TRIPLETS!

    So you're getting married on a Tuesday?  Interesting! Is there significance to that date for you and your FI?

    I live in Westland, he lives in Ypsi...

    We actually picked the day for a kinda silly reason, but FI LOVES it... It's actually the anniversary of Elvis' death... Idk... He wanted to do it.

    A Tuesday wedding?  Hmmm....  Are you prepared that A LOT of people may not be able to make it?  Especially out-of-town guests.  Heck, even if a friend was getting locally, I'd probably only go for dinner then head out early since I usually don't stay out late during the week.

    But congrats!  And welcome!

    Yes, it is the anniversary of Elvis' death and Madonna's birthday.  Along with my father's birthday and the day after my FI's birthday.  :)   So it sounds like a good day to me.

    Congrats & welcome. August 16th is also the day that the plane crash happened at Metro Airport in 1987 that killed like 200 people and only the little girl survived (I remember this because it was the day my son turned 6 months old).

    So, tell your fiance it's a really bad day to get married.

    If you stick with August 2011, join us on the month board (like on left). I'm getting married in August 2011 also.

    I actually got him to agree to the 13th... one year from today! I didn't like the tuesday either! We're going to Memphis for our honeymoon so he agreed so long as we are in Graceland on the 16th... he's a little hard core for Elvis lol :)
