LOTON01

I just heard back from Deacon Don and I guess we aren't going to get mentored by a couple. Because of so many couples only church members get the mentoring. That is why we had the meeting to go over our PMI results. 

I am kind of disappointed. When we had our meeting with the deacon to go over the results I felt like it left fi and I without alot to talk about.

You're kidding! That really stinks. Did he at least recommend some things outside of the church that you can do?

We did our second meeting with our mentor couple yesterday. The first was a getting to know you, the second was diving into the PMI. We only got through two pages, there was lots to talk about :-)

But I'm really enjoying it, and I think FI is too. I actually think it's been a valuable thing to go through, so it is disappointing that they're limiting it. But, I'm also sure that there aren't too many mentor couples in the church so it probably is difficult if their wedding "business" is really growing. Even though I think it's valuable, most of what our "differences" were are things we already know and talk about, so it's not as though there have been any surprises. Moreso, it's just given us an opportunity to devote some time to having those conversations again and re-iterating the things we need to work on -- that we'll likely always be working on.
