who says the dinner blessing?

Our minister just declined the reception, so I'm not sure who should say the dinner blessing. My FI would like to. Is there any reason why he shouldn't?

I've seen the officiant or the bride's father say the blessing, but I don't see anything wrong with your FI saying the blessing.

I think its who ever wants it to be. Im thinking either the Best man or one of my bridesmaids will do it.

Tell FI if he wants to do it to go right ahead its his event and if the pastor is not coming then anyone is fair game!

Our pastor didn't show up (lol?) to the reception, so my FIL did it. I think it would be really nice to have your DH do it if that's something he wants to do!
