Book Cadillac Wedding

Anyone heard any good or bad reviews of their wedding reception being held at the Westin Book Cadillac in downtown detroit? I can't find any online and was curious if any of you have heard about it a reception has turned out.  Thanks!

    I've seen a few wedding videos from there and they look AMAZING! And hell, they better before a 20K (something like that) minimum.

    I've done makeup for a bride that had her wedding there, and she had nothing but good things to say about that place.  It WAS beautiful!!

    My sorority sister had her wedding there in June. I only wish I had known about it being renovated when I signed my contract for a venue. (I'm not bashing my venue at all, the Sheraton was AMAZING) 
    The decor in the WBC is all brand new and gorgeous!!!  IMO it's the most beautiful venue around. Even prettier then the Royal Park and The Townsend Hotel. 
    If your a SPG member, you will get points for all the money you spend, which= free hotel rooms!! The only bad thing about it, it's kinda in sketchy area of Detroit. (I saw a lot of prostitutes and trannys) 
    But seriously, I LOVE THIS HOTEL!! Book your wedding there if it fits in your budget!! My DH and I are already planning for our kids bar or bat mitzvahs to be there, and I'm not even pregnant!! LOL

    Prostitues and Trannies? Lol. I wouldn't worry about that. I've never had any problems in the area of downtown and they have thier own parking so you go straight in and out if you are that worried.

    I haven't been to a wedding there, but we had a huge event there for work and it was AMAZING! I can only imagine what a wedding could be there. My guess is that it will be expensive, but worth it.

    My best friend got married there and seriously...it was the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food was great and the cake was to die for! We partied there until 1am and then went next door to the bar at the bottom of the Best Western or whatever it is across the street. The Book Cadillac is so gorgeous and their big ballroom is stunning! If you can swing, I'd go for it!
