Cakes in Metro Detroit area

We are looking to go cake tasting come January for our September wedding.
Where are you girls getting your cake from?
How much is it going to cost?
How many people is it for?

We are thinking about buying little cakes and putting them in the middle of our tables for the centerpieces. They will all be different flavors.

I can't really help because I had cupcakes. I paid about $400 for 250 cupcakes. We also had a small cake that we cut which was about $15. We used Sorella's in Livonia and they were awesome to work with!

I absolutely love the little cakes idea!  What a great way to cut costs by doubling as centerpieces, plus minimize cleanup!!!!

Lakes Cakes in Commerce is reasonable and tasty!

Costco might be super budget friendly and their cake is to die for (I didn't believe it until I tried!)

Or try some local bakeries--Hermanns or Pronto in Royal Oak might be able to give you a discount for buying bulk!

Where about in Metro-detroit are you?  If you are by Eastpointe I suggest East Detroit Bakery on 9 mile.  They seriously have the best buttercream ever and their cakes are always super moist.  I've tried samples at other bakeries in the area but nothing compares to East Detroit Bakery.  The staff there are also super nice and have been known to give my FI and I free items when we go in.

Im getting my cake from a local gal! She does them out of her home and its only costing me 375 for a 5 teir cake.

got a local girl as well in macomb.  Cakes by Renee. She's on FB and shes been at a few brides to be shows. Her cake is GREAT! My fav was the chocolate with mint filling /drools

She's decent priced and works with you to create what you want
