What's your favorite Detroit sports team?  Are there any non-Michigan based teams you really like?

My favorite Detroit sports team is hands down the Tigers...closely followed by the Lions.  My dad is from New York, so I grew up a Yankee's fan, but once I moved to Royal Oak and really got to experience Detroit and all it had to offer, I was hooked on the Tigs

Favorite Michigan team is definitely MSU - I'm a Spartan through and through, so they trump Lions, Tigers, Wings....anything.  Go Green!

H, is a big baseball fan, so these days its the Tigers. Back in high school it was the Red Wings. Never really been a football or basketball fan!

I love the Wings!  FI really loves the Tigers and the Wings.  We both have a love hate for the Lions.  Both of Michigan fans, go Blue!  We are Michigan through and through so no non-Michigan teams even though we live in Arizona now.  We spend a lot of money to watch our Michigan teams.

Bah. Probably the Tigers? I love the Red Wings and the Lions too..i avoid the Pistons like the plague and the NBA in general. I guess it probably depends on the season. I cheer for U of M and MSU..FI has 2 degrees from U of M and both my sisters went to State. I go to a good amount of sporting events for both. My real team is Eastern Michigan. I marched 4 years there so I am actually really into their football team which sucks because they've been pretty horrible as long as I've been affiliated with the university.

I love all of the pro Detroit teams, so I can't really pick a favorite. I am totally an MSU fan. I love the Boston Celtics. I have a strange crush on Kevin Garnett. Also, I like the Toledo Mud hens. I am going to see them on Sunday!

Detroitwise it's a tie between the Wings and the Tigers... nonMi I am a huge Florida Gators fan and have been since I was like 10 years old, probably because Ive always wanted to in FL and plan to one day.

Hands down, my first favorite team is the Wings. Even though they are done for the year, we are still watching the playoffs. The Wings are followed closely by the Tigers. We havent made it to a game yet this year and are really bummed by it. We have a love hate with the Lions and could care less about the Pistons. I went to Central and FI and the rest of my family went to State, so it is Go Green at our house.

Probably the Tigers for me, we love going to games and watching them as well. Close second is any U-M team (go blue!), and third would be the Wings.

The Red Wings are definitely my favorite Detroit sports team! I don't live in Detroit anymore, but I still follow them every season.  I also closely follow Michigan football.

Tigers first for both Kevin and me, then followed in a tie by the Wings and Lions. I really used to be into the Pistons, but lately I guess I'm the dreaded "fair weather fan", I don't have the patience for re-building, LOL.

I lived in Massachusetts for 6 years, and saw a couple of Patriot's games, one Celtics game at the old garden, and one Red Sox game (their tix are impossible to get). All the Boston teams are my #2's behind the Detroit teams. Usually one of their teams are making it into the playoffs when Detroit's teams are not.

I'm one of those dreaded UM/MSU co-lovers. We generally root for both because although I went to U of M for one semester, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back, we always wish them both well.

Wings, wings, wings! I love hockey! Second would be the Tigers. My entire family has issues with the Lions and we found it we root for them to lose we end up having happier football Sundays :P
