Confessions/Vents

I'll get the ball rolling.

I confess that I get cranky when I go to Etiqutte/Snarky Brides/Various Boards on The Nest, and there ISN'T some new hot mess to read about.

I'm all "Come ONNNNN!  Why are you all so boooorrring in here?  It's already boring here at work!  I was hoping for some shock and snarking!"

So I'm pretty sure that makes me an awful person, because I'm hoping that...
someone's hubby slept with his coworker at the office Christmas party but she can't call him on it because she found out about it while snooping through his facebook messages and she was thinking about leaving him anyway because she's pregnant and the stepson is threatening to kill the baby as soon as its born and has already killed the cat but she really thinks she shouldn't hold it against him because the re-marriage has been so hard on him, after all....
all for my own amusement.

*Shudder.*  Yep, I'm a terrible person.

Confession:  I enjoy watching Bridezillas!  I have never laughed so hard but at the same time am totally shocked at how some of these brides act!  Actually I'm surprised that some of the grooms would even want to marry their fiance when they act like some of them have....

Vent:  How can you have a sinus infection if you can breathe normally?  I wake up with a sore throat and just feel awful but no fever, aches or pains.

    Wow.

Matuofm you crack me up. And I really hope that pregger lady leaves because that stepson sounds like he's going to be a serial killer (seriously).

PhoneCard--I get sinus infections like that. Last week I was sick all week, was finally feeling better and BAM definite sinus infection. I get them where it KILLS my teeth. Have you tried using a Neti-Pot ever? It feels like you're drowning, but it works.

MatuofM you are nuts but I feel you.I love the story you just came up with it will surely keep me wondering about what is going to happen to the baby for a good 15 more minutes and the Co-worker too LOL It is so boring here I think I am going to leave extra extra early there are only 2 people here besides me. This is why i usually take the day before a holiday off boredom!

    Vent:
    1) Why do people have to take credit for things they did not do? I mean come on, when you do that you are lying.
    2) Why do I have to be at work today? I am only going to sit here and do nothing for 5 hours... Oh well free pay right?
Edit: my friend is doing a huge group project at school and he was telling me that he did all of the work for the project, and when the professor asked him about it he was up front with the professor about him doing all the work and the other group member got mad because he wasn't given any credit for the work he DIDNT do. It's like, if you wanted to get the credit, do the work.

Confession - the color on my right heel has worn off. All I had was a sharpie, so, that's what I used. My boss walked by my desk and saw me coloring on my shoe with a marker and gave me a look like "how did this one get through HR?!?" Vent: I've gained 3 lbs since the wedding. I kind of miss that wedding stress - if only because it was the best diet ever.

I am getting more and more annoyed with "one-uppers". People who one-up everything you say EVEN IF IT'S BAD. Do people WANT worse lives?

example: I have 2 exams and a project due this week, on top of 3 parties, starting thank you notes, and a lot of small errands (oil change, hair cut, etc). So of course the one-upper has a MUCH busier life and thinks my schedule is simple. Okay... whatever... BUT when I say "oh my back hurts" they just HAVE to reply "oh mine too, and I have a headache and my ankle has been acting up". Really? Are you serious or are you just trying to compete with me? WTF.

<3 you. I used to be on TK all the time because I spent 60-80 hours/ week at work and it would get boring at times.  I miss reading up on all of the drama.  I would get so upset when there was not good drama to fill my days.

I confess that I am slightly disappointed we moved back to Grand Haven.  When we decided to move I was pregnant and putting my family before my career.  I figured I'd settle for  a job that paid less but was also less hours and less stress.  Well, now that I have had a miscarriage, I have no idea how long it will be until we have a baby and the workaholic in me came back.  Now I am stressed about not finding a good enough job.  Also, because I am not working right now, we are on a super tight budget so I can't even enjoy my spare time by shopping or going to bars or doing other things.
