Bridesmaid Shoes

Any advice where I can find inexpensive dyeable, or grey heels? I went to a store today and they were minimum $50, or $60+$16 to get them dyed. I cannot justify having my bridesmaids spending more than half their dress on shoes that they will most likely wear once. Also, Payless doesn't really have any good options, at least online anyway.

I would just tell them what color shoes you want them to wear and be done with it.  Their shoes don't have to match each other.  Then, each BM can decide how much they would like to spend on the shoes.

^ That's what I'm doing.  And I'm telling them to use either their colors for the shoes or just use silver (haven't decided).

Try payless.  They have a bridal shoe collection that is dyable.  Not sure how much they run, but I remember seeing them.

Ditto PPs. Being that I have super narrow feet, I don't like it when someone tells me what shoes I have to buy, because 99% of the time they won't fit right. Unless you're set on a specific shoe, just give your girls an idea of what to buy (color style etc) and let them choose. It's one less thing for you to worry about.

I do understand that shoes fit everyone differently. I was hoping to find a brand that they could pick from, so they are the same color. They are wearing short dresses that are all different... As I am typing this, I think I might be over thinking this.... they are just shoes! I did find a place to get them dyed, so maybe I can get everyone to pick their dyeable shoe, and get them all dyed together. Thanks girls!

And, to put your mind at ease that the shoes won't matter, here are my bm's, all wearing totally different shoes with short dresses:

They look so cute! I guess my worry was that they are each wearing short, but all different dresses. They will be all the same color and fabric, but I wasn't sure if different shoes would look to miss-matched.

I would just tell your BMs what color shoes you'd like them to get and let them get what they want.  Shoes are something you want them to be comfortable in or you'll see it in your pictures and they won't have as much fun and take them off as soon as they can if they don't like them.

I agree with PP.  I think you should pick a color and let them get whatever brand they want.  I would also suggest picking a more common shoe color (black, shiny silver/grey, etc.) so it's easier to find and something that they'll be able to wear again.  I had a friend that made me buy a pair of dyeable shoes and dye them lilac... needless to say, I've never worn them again and they cost me $50+.

Thanks!  They're actually just from David's Bridal : )  The color they're wearing is called Juniper.

i agree. not all girls can wear the same shoes. I know personally, i cannot wear heels. they KILL me feet and it's a pain that i'm not willing to put myself through, sorry.
Let them choose what shoes works best for them.
