Do you have a Starwood/Hyatt card? Why just those hotels?

Yes, I am a starwoods member..well, just joined recently. I chose those due to being in the area (not same hotel) as family, as we will have a lot of out of town guest in due to this being Memorial weekend. Plus I heard both have great food. LOL

yup..thanks! i'm looking right now!!! Beautiful hotel! Dreamy!

So am I being cheap? I'm trying to justify spending over $350 for a room that we will only be in for about 12 hours. LOL I feel like I can out that money towards our honeymoon? I'm trying to be practical, yet still find a nice, romantic suite for our honeymoon night, with a breakfast in bed. See we would check in at like 1am, then check out the hotel at 2pm??

Not sure if you are being cheap or not. To me, the thought of having a fabulous room, with a sunken marble tub, and breakfast in bed after a busy hectic day just sounds like heaven......... but if you don't want to go for the sunken tub, get a smaller room there and order breakfast from the room service menu.

(I'm telling you, this hotel is the bomb!........ I haven't stayed there, but the area surrounding it is RIGHT downtown B'ham, lush, lovely, and I have been in their lobby and at a function in their ballroom. It's where the athletes stay when they come into town,).

OK, upon further research, this is a Starwood, AND you could take I-94 to I-696 westbound, get off at Evergreen, and stay at the Westin Southfield:

I know this is nice, because my boss uses it for her training sessions and I've seen one room there, it was nice. The lobby is nice, they have a restaurant downstairs. And, they have a romance package here, much less!

Okay, I'm going to debate on it. Thanks! I have a room booked at the Westin/Soutfield already for that night. I was just going to cancel if I found something better. I think I am going to take some time and go and look at the Townsend. I REALLY think you just might convince me to spend the money for luxery. Thanks so much for the info! i'm going to make my mind up REALLY soon!

    you are GREAT!

OK Brandi. But did you book your room with the "Indulge your Passions" package? I mean, come on, it's a steal and you get late check out, breakfast buffet, AND sparkling wine and strawberries (probably a teeny bottle & 2 strawberries LOL).
