Wedding gift WWYD

One of my friends who couldn't attend our wedding sent us a $50 gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond.  We didn't register there, but that's fine, I knew we could find something there to buy.  I  just went there and there was only $4.16 on the gift card.  We definitely haven't used the gift card yet so I am trying to figure out why there was only $4 on the card? BBB called their gift card hotline and said the gift card was purchased on 6/10/2011, so a full 5 weeks before our wedding and they couldn't tell when else the GC was used.  The friend that gave us the gift card got married a few weeks after us, and she did register at BBB.  So I don't know if it was a re-gift or she inadvertently gave us the wrong gift card or what? I feel awkward saying something to her, and I don't want to make her feel bad.  Should I just forget about it? Or is there a non awkward way of asking her about it?  I don't see her, and we only communicate through Facebook and random texting.  WWYD??

Honestly, I'd just let it go.  Kind of awkward and not worth bringing it up.

It was probably an accident... but I would just let it go. She probably did regift one of their gift cards, but meant to use one that she didnt use yet.

This.  Did the gift card have the paper folded around it?  Was it scratched off on the back at all?  If so, my guess is that she regifted it.  Or it's entirely possible that she bought one for you guys and it got mixed up.

Either way, I wouldn't bring it up because that's just awkward and not worth it.

<div>Yeah, the paper was still folded around it and "$50" was wrote on it.  The back wasn't scratched.  </div><div>
</div><div>I'll just forget about it.  It's not like its a big deal or anything, more like a "wtf?"</div>
