Videographer Help

Ok, so originally we weren't going to have a videographer. We're quite blessed that my parents are paying for the wedding, but we figured we'd save some of my parent's money by doing that, and it didn't matter much to me anyway. Especially since my dad likes to video stuff on his Flip all the time, I figured we'd still get footage and could make our own video ( we do this a lot).

Well, my mother is suddenly INSISTING that we have one, since it will be professional footage, and they'll know what to shoot when, etc. We still would likely make our own video, but hey, if we can have a pro...

But here's the problem, we only have 3 months left! Anyone have any recommendations for an affordable videographer that might be available on October 23rd?

I am using Castle Video Productions. Kristyn has been amazing so far and I can't wait to work with her! Her website calendar says she is available on your date, it's definitely worth checking her out!!

Kim, originally we were going to book her! Months and months ago when we were ORIGINALLY planning on having a videographer (but then felt we were being excessive) I had her tentatively booked. Then she called and said someone else was interested in our date, did I want to put down the deposit to hold for sure? I said no, it's ok.... poop.

We used Baran Video Productions based on a recommendation from another Knottie - shrades77.

This is their blog - http://baranvideoblog.wordpress.com/ and this is their website http://www.baranvideo.com.

They were great onsite - even came to our rehearsal dinner, which was WAY more than we were expecting.  We didn't notice them much on the day off and were very happy with their work.

I didn't originally want a videographer but my DH did and we booked the Barans at the last minute.  I'm SO glad we did.  I LOVE having video and we're watched it on our own and with each of our parents - SO fun!

    Good Luck!

I was going to suggest mine but we are date twins! If I couldn't use mine I would use Ryan from Epic Motion. His stuff is fantastic and he is a super nice and awesome guy. And no, he's not a friend of mine. I just happened to meet him one night after work and we chatted about weddings and his business but he was one of the contenders for filming our wedding.

I would advise against Epic Motion. My DH had a really bad experience with someone who works for them.

I know Plum Soda Productions www.plumsodaproductions.com is pretty affordable and Tyler Koral is VERY communicative.

We used S2R Productions.  Adam was awesome and also very affordable!   He charges $700 and you get 2 copies of your DVD. We just got ours back last week and it was great.  I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.   I would for sure check him out :)

Thank you everyone! I think we've got some good options now, everything I was finding on my own was 2-3 times what we wanted to pay!
