Shower locations

For those of you who had your shower not at a house, where did you have it?  My BMs are from all over and wanted some suggestions about where to have it.

Re: Shower locations

  • We are having mine at a italian restaurant by my house. They seat 55 people and we will have 36ish, so we are pretty much renting the place out without any extra fees.
  • The one my mom/sisters are hosting will be at Roger's Roost over in Sterling Heights. Nothing too fancy but it fits our style haha.

  • I have been to a few at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth and one or two at Antonio's in Canton.  At both of those, they have been in private rooms.  For my shower with DH's family we had it in his aunt's backyard and for my family it was at my parents' country club in East Lansing.

  • My first shower was at Great Oaks CC in Rochester and my second one was at Papa Vino's in Troy. Both were so much fun! Also, I hosted a bridesmaids brunch at Kruse & Muer in Troy - they did a great job :)
  • I didn't have a shower, but our rehearsal dinner was at Eastside Mario's in Livonia. They have a private room, and for parties you can select a menu of 5 items to give your guests to choose from. Also, they don't jack up the price because it's a larger party.

Roger's Roost in Sterling Hts is a great place, the food is good, it's huge, and they also have a private room

There's Ernie's in Clinton Township too, I think they have a private room as well.
  • Mine is at Camp Ticonderoga in Troy. They have a couple different spaces you can use, we're using the second floor, has great natural light and a balcony overlooking the restaurant.

  • Peabody's in Birmingham for brunch. We had the upstairs library all to ourselves. (And the mimosas were great!)

  • We had a nice shower at Olive Garden. They had the unlimited soup, salad, breadsticks. They gave us a very private area in the back. Very affordable and the food was good.
  • My aunt threw my shower at the Sterling Inn - it was beautiful and the food was excellent, but I heard recently that they had a problem with bedbugs, so tread cautiously.

I also went to one at Peabody's in Birmingham - it was very nice.
