Outdoor ceremony sites

Hi girls!!

I'm running into a lil trouble finding an outdoor ceremony site. I am holding my reception at The Inn at St. Johns on Oct 1, 2011 but I can't use their chapel because my fiancee isn't Catholic. I tried the Northville Mills Race (a park nearby) but my date is unavailable. I even tried downtown Plymouth (Kellogg Park) but its unavailable. I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas. I'm looking close to Plymouth/Northville. I would just like a place that can have 125 guests and in case of lovely MI weather a place indoors if needed. Thanks girls!!!

Does St. Johns have an outdoor site for weddings?   Canton Township has a Gazebo in Heritage Park.  Its $50  I think.  Its surrounded my ponds and pretty trees.   I have been in a few weddings and we had pictures there but I know they have weddings there all the time too.  You just have to call the Summit to reserve it.   The downfall is that the Police and Fire Station are right there and if there is a call you might hear a siren for a moment.

I'm getting married at the Longacre House in Farmington Hills.  It's a historical home and we are getting married outside on the grounds.  There are pics in my bio.  They have the house as an indoor back-up location which holds approx. 130 people.  Good luck!

Livonia has public parks as well. We are getting married at Greenmead, which has a non-denominational chapel that seats 100 (in case of rain), but that's the max capacity. Are you sure everyone will come to the ceremony? Some people skip it.

We are setting up a tent, but also renting the banquet venue. Not sure if they will allow you to just set up a tent without renting the "back up plan" chapel. But they are very friendly.

The city has other parks as well.

I second Longacre House in Farmington.

We also looked into the Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn that has an amazing area for outdoor ceremonies.  Not sure if that is too far though.
