2nd Photographer?

I have just learned that after I booked my photog package, she added a 2nd photographer to her new package and I have the choice to add the 2nd one as well, for a very reasonable price ($100).

I am wondering what the "pros" are for a 2nd photog around for the day. My wedding is on a Friday and the ceremony and reception are in the same place, but I do want to get photos of guests as well as my and FI's getting ready, etc.

Any advice is welcome! TIA :)

  • If it's only $100, I'd definitely do it. Same moments can appear totally different from different angles.
Or, one photographer can snap you coming down the aisle while the other captures the reaction of your soon to be H and all your guests.

  • I agree with PP.  For $100 I think you should definitely do it.

  • No question... do it. You get a completely different perspective from the second photographer. Our main photographer didn't get any pictures of our rings, my shoes, table decorations, cake, but our second photographer got all of that.

Exactly.  $100 will definitely be worth the extra photos you'll get.
