2) "older first time bride" (in case you can't tell from the pic), mid 50's
3) Mom to 2 wonderful kids, 24 y/o son who just got his Master's from GWU  in DC, he lives there now working for a non-profit. My daughter is 16 y/o, typical teen gal (ugh) but she is my MOH and we are close (even though we have the typical mom-daughter fights)
4) After we are married I"ll also be a step Mom to 3 adult kids, and step-grandma to 3, with another due about two weeks after the wedding.
5) LIved in metro Detroit all my life except for 6 years in my early 20's when I lived outside Boston..........I LOVE New England!

What do you like? OK, I LOVE cooking gourmet type meals, and I love doing home improvements myself. I've done a ton of stuff around my house, and after the wedding we'll have redoing the kitchen on our radar..........I plan, Kevin helps me complete my vision, LOL. I'm also fortunate enough to have a job I LOVE as well.

What don't you like? Liver, eggs (haven't eaten them since I was 4, but I can cook them for others), people who are just plain ignorant or mean to others, people who are racist, people who trash Detroit, and lately, political gridlock.... which also leads me to another one, people who bitch about government or elected officials and DON'T VOTE !!!!

1- I'm a dancer. I've been dancing since I was about 6 - taking ballet, jazz, modern and Hula (I've also dabbled in other Polynesian styles - Tahitian and Poi but mostly Hula). :-)
2- My FI and I bought a condo 2 years ago.  I thought for sure we were going to just "live in sin" for the rest of our lives.  I didn't expect the proposal AT ALL.  In fact a couple weeks before I was showing him rings that were on sale (it was Christmas time) and he said "stop pressuring me!"
3- I have two sisters, 4 step brothers and 1 step sister.  My dad re-married after my mom passed away
4- I love my "family in laws"  It makes me SO happy to have the "mother-in-law" that I have every time I hear horrible stories (Sorry to any of you who do not have a fantastic second family!)
5- I've fallen out of the wedding planning thing a bit and plan to use this weekend to reorganize and get back in to it!

What do you like? Right now - cupcakes! Music, big fan of food, obviously I love to dance...
What don't you like?  Cramps! (Sorry for the TMI but they're killing me right now) Having to work (I would work even if I didn't have to, but I wish I was independently wealthy so I could be pickier about where and what I did), ignorant people...

How did you come up with your account name? Mish is a nickname my little brother's friend gave me in high school. I'm really short (5 foot) so whenever he saw me he would pick me up and swing me around. One day he picked me up and said "You're just so small...you're like a...a...a MISH!" so it kinda stuck.

1). Fi and I are getting married on my parent's anniversary

2). I am shoe obsessed. I purchased my first pair of Christian Louboutin's in Vegas two years ago and I am hooked. I think I'll be planning my wedding gown around the shoes. 

3). I love to craft and work on DIY projects (especially for the wedding). I've recently completed 30 painted table numbers and frames and am now working on different styles of fabric flowers.

4). I love to cook and bake (now that I have the time). Currently I'm obsessed with making "Cake Pops" (like from Starbucks). You can find the recipe at 'bakerella.com'. I've gotten so many compliments on them!!!

5). The last book I read was: Heaven is for Real. It was quite remarkable, I would definetly recommend it. 

What do you like? I like/love to troll other boards on the knot/bump/nest looking for petty drama to laugh at. It's my favorite guilty pleasure. 

What don't you like? People who can't laugh at themselves. I will gladly be the punch-line of a joke and I am very able to laugh at myself and my own mistakes. If you can't laugh at yourself, then get f*&ked.

What is your name? Ally..well Allison but few people call me that
How did you come up with your account name? Allycat has been a common nickname my entire life and then 11 because it is a 'lucky' number in my family.  All 4 of my mom's kids were born on the 11th of different months, and 2 out of 3 of my dad's kids were as well.

1.)  I was adopted.
2.)  I have 6 siblings who mean the world to me.  They range from 6 years to 29 and none of them were born to the same mother and father.

How did you come up with your account name? I have used this account name for a lot of sites ever since I was young. Whenever I am asked for a username, I usually put this one in unless it's already taken by someone else. I also danced jazz and tap for about 12 years when I was young, so I think that is where it originated from.

Share five facts about you:

1) I love cats - especially black cats and orange cats (I guess I am not superstitious either)

2) I will be graduating in May with my master's degree

3) I love helping people, so I think I have chosen a great career in speech-language pathology

4. One of the best trips I have been on (besides when I got engaged) was my backpacking trip with FI and a friend. We went to Isle Royale and it was amazing.
5. My FI and I "dated" for a few months in 8th grade. We stayed good friends through out HS and during college got back together and the rest is history!
