Ok so my MOH and I have a disagreement we would like for you to solve for us.

My STDs are postcards printed from vista print.
On the back the return address is printed by vistaprint.
Is it ok to run the postcards through the printer to address them?
(All address are currently in the computer)
Or is it tacky to use the computer to print them and we should hand write out all 200 of them? 

I havae agreed to do whatever the majority of you say!

Just to be clear we would run them right through the printer.  We would not print labels then put those on the cards.

I think for a STD, printing the envelope is acceptable.

I think for STD's it's fine. I sent my STD's in envelopes and used clear address labels....and I"m ok with it

Personally, I would use clear labels and stick them on the postcards.  I would be afraid that the postcards would smear by putting them through the printer.

STDs are very informal so you don't need to handwrite all the addresses.

um, I used my printer to print addresses on both my STD & my invitation envelopes....I didn't realize this was a major faux pas?  so, I would say it's totally fine.

I also used a printer and clear labels for both of mine.  I was aware it was slightly faux pas.  But I didn't have time to address them or money to pay someone else to.  So I figured if someone really cared they could just skip the wedding and save me the $...lol.  I think you will be fine!

I think its perfectly fine.  I plan on printing out addresses for out STD's.  As far as invitations, I have the worse handwriting ever, so unless I can convince my sister how much she really loves me, we will be doing the same.

I think that's fine. We put labels on our shower invites and had the stationary place we got our invites print the guests addresses because DH didn't want to deal with writing them. Fine by me!

The only think we hand-addressed were the thank you cards. Fun stuff.

I totally printed labels for my STD's.  And I ran the wedding invite envelopes through the printer.  No one said a word about it!
