Close Call and AW

Yesterday FI and DS were wrestling, I stupidly decided to join in the fun. In the process I hear a loud pop in my ankle and felt this horrible pain! FI freaked out and immediately told DS to get his shoes on to go to the hospital. I didn't think I broke it but was afraid of tearing a ligament or something because of the pain and the pop. Thankfully, it's just a sprain. I have to wear an air brace for a few days, but I'll still be able to walk down the aisle. Needless to say, I'm not going to be wrestling at least not until after the wedding!

Good news though, I pick my rings up today. We ordered our bands yesrterday and I left my E-ring with them to resize, dip, and polish. I definitely think I'll have to have FI hide my band from me so I won't want to wear it all of the time around the house.

Oh my gosh!  I hope your ankle is ok.  As veteran of joint issues- i can understand your concern!  My most recent pop followed by horrible pain was when I tore a ligament in my wrist.  One surgery and 2 years later- still not the same!

That is exciting about your rings!  I had to have my DH hide my wedding band too.  :)  But, I had to hide his.  He felt since I had been wearing a ring all along, he should get to wear his too.

Wow, glad you didn't break anything!

We also put our rings away somewhere, so we wouldn't be tempted to wear them. FI didn't quite have the same feeling towards his ring. But, I ordered a tungsten ring from Ashley's Jewelry a few weeks ago, so he would have a durable ring for everyday wear. Needless to say, he's been wearing it ever since..LOL.

Glad you're OK.  Must have been scary...

I have my wedding band in my jewelry box and about once a week ago, I like to put it on with my wedding band and look at how pretty it is.  LOL

Glad everything is ok - I'd be scared too with the pop.

When I picked up my ring it was a little tough to get over my giant knuckle so the guy suggested I try it on a few times at different points to make sure it fits ok - tailor made excuse to wear my rings!!!
