Park Ceremony...

Does anyone have an idea of a beautiful park around Macomb Twp or neighboring cities that could host a wedding (ceremony only)? Thanks!

@ MMRoberts - I saw the Heritage Gardens and LOOOOOOOVED it and DEFINITELY would have chosen it... but they don't allow more than 10 chairs on the grounds... :(

The Rochester municipal park? You can get married there and have the reception at the Community House. If we were getting married during the summer that would have been my first choice! There's also the Rochester museum which I also love but no alcohol is allowed so it wouldn't have worked for me as a reception site.

Beverly Hills Park (around 13 Mile and Southfield Rd) has a pavilion, and I attended a wedding ceremony there years ago. Really nice, they have bathrooms attached to the brick part of the pavilion and a fireplace and mantle at the other end. Like all public parks they have rules, but you could check them out.

A former knottie got married at Tina's Country House (?) in Macomb county and another had their reception at Metro Park in the "glass house"....you'd have to bring in your own catering for that. I think she used a different caterer than one of the ones they recommend at it was fine.

    Good luck.

@ Sue-n-Kevin - We were orginally planning to have the ceremony at Tina's! We are having our reception there for sure... I am just toying with other ideas for the ceremony because I'm not too fond of the ceremony space at Tina's. But I haven't looked at Beverly Hills Park yet!! I'll start researching it now... thanks for the suggestion ;)

George George Memorial Park. Its on Moravian near Groesbeck. It has a beautiful bridal garden and it also has a nice pavillion that can be rented.
  • We got married outside at Seven Lakes State Park in Holly/Davisburg.  With the water and trees behind us! Absolutely beautiful and we got married in October, 2011.  We rented the 2 paviliions or shelters for $100.00 each, so no one could come and interrupt or day or park in our parking spots.
