shuttle question...

ok, so this question we'll definitely as the shuttle company, but i was just wondering what other peoples experiences were like ...

so we've got a 47 passenger bus taking our guests from the mount kisco holiday inn to the villa barone in mahopac. we'll definitely only need one trip going to the villa barone... but coming home after the reception there's a possibility we'll need to make 2 trips b/c at that point we'll have the bridal party (14 ppl) on the shuttle as well.

so my question is ... for those who have used or are using a shuttle to transport guests... and who had or are going to have 2 trips after the reception ... how is that handled? does the first trip leave before the reception ends? or are a bunch of guests going to be hanging out with the workers while they're cleaning up?? i'm confused and don't want to inconvenience the villa barone with a bunch of lingering guests, but i also don't want people to leave before our wedding is over. what's everyone elses experiences been like??

thanks =)

    good question! I would like to hear ppl's experiences also.

    For our reception I do plan on having the shuttle there to take some ppl to the hotel before the wedding is over - I know like Fi's grandpa and great unlce never stay til then end of weddings (they can't stay up that late!). I probably have a couple on my side too that won't be able to stick around til the end. I think my hall charges me if I have straglers there more then 30 minutes after the reception ends - I do not want that to happen!

    We had a 47 passenger bus.  What the shuttle company suggested was two runs.  The first being sometime during the middle of the reception (i totally apologize but i do not remember the time) and the second being the last run of the night.  What they told me was that first run was not set in stone, that is, let people know it is about 8PM( just for an example) and the bus will wait a bit to see how many people come out and then would take them back and then be back in time for the second run.  We only ended up using one run because no one wanted to leave.  And, we were fine at the end of the night with the # of people.
