Need! Affordable photographer

I am on a limited budget and would love suggestions on a GOOD affordable photographer in the metro detroit area.  Wedding ceremony in St. Clair Shores and reception in Grosse Pointe.  Prefer more of a photojournalistic style, and willing to consider new up and coming photographers. Thanks!

Hi there!  Looks like this is your first post, welcome!

The sticky post titled "who are your vendors?" will give you a lot of good suggestions for photographers that the ladies on this board  have used and/or are using. Most of the recs dont' have prices though so it would help us if you could tell us what your budget is.

I am using Amanda Williams, who comes very highly recommended on this board. Her package is (I believe) $1350 now (she could charge so much more, trust me). Definitely check her out. She does book up early though.  Best of luck!!

I talked to these guys, and they seem eager and passionate.  Their samples were very nice, they just didn't have a lot of material since they are newer to the business.  We went with somebody else because we wanted a little bit more experience, but they were high on my list.  Especially since their photography-only package was only $850!

Welcome! You would probably get more responses if you listed a orice range, in order for people to know whether or not their photogs will work with your definition of "affordable". With that being said my photographer is Kelly Burke, she is fabulous and her prices for what she offers are great!!!

Thanks so much everyone! Very helpful! I want to keep the photographer under 2 grand (lower if possible), but was having a hard time when just googling photographers.  I will check out all of these suggestions
