Update

Hi Ladies!!!

I haven't logged on for over 2 weeks now, I wish we were on an amazing honeymoon or doing something really exciting, but unfortunately not.  2 days after my wedding, I worked a 14 hour day while in a lot of pain and went straight to the E.R. when I got out that night.  I ended up having a miscarriage at 7 weeks.  We were preparing for this but it still has been an emotionally and physically draining time.

On to the good news... we moved to Grand Haven last week as planned, just with me lifting a lot less.  It feels great to be back here, even though I have only lived here a year and a half previously.  DH loves being back in his hometown, and his family is thrilled to have us here again.  I am starting my job search and enjoying this time off for now.  It turns out I actually am pretty good at cooking and cleaning when I'm not working 60-80 hours per week...who knew?

Thank you again for all of the support over the last year. I will post wedding pictures very soon, we have some non-professional ones right now that I may get posted later today.

You've been on my mind a lot lately, I was wondering how you were doing. I'm really sorry to hear this - I'll be praying for you. Hopefully GH is a lot better for you. Maybe you'll finally get some rest and be able to enjoy your time with DH :) Please post pics! :)

Thank you, that made me smile :)  We could use lots of prayers now.  Emotionally I am handling things very well, without my faith I couldn't get through it.  We are firm believers that everything happens for a reason and for some reason right now was not the time for us.  It has gotten to me a bit in the last week, just because I have too much spare time.  Basically, I just avoid being alone with my thoughts for too long and I am fine.  Luckily, physically everything cleared out on it's own, so it was brutal for a day, rough for a week and now I feel great.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Ally, but I'm really glad to hear that you're not getting too discouraged.  You're one amazing lady.  :)

I second the vote for pics.  And maybe of your new place, too?  I'm glad you're settling in well.  :)

Oh, Ally, I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and hope you continue to get settled in Grand Haven. A friend of mine lives there and loves it -- I try to visit every summer, I call it my summer home :-)

So sorry for your loss, Ally. I'll be thinking of you during your very trying time.

SO happy to hear you're settling in in GH though!! Yesterday I went over to our house to complete the inspections and get the gas/electric/water hooked up. It felt so real to be there. We're still waiting on the mortgage guy so we can close...hopefully soon. I'm super excited to be getting over that way as well!

Can't wait to see pics. Hope with everything going on you're still able to enjoy MARRIED life. :)

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It sounds like your faith is strong, and you have a great outlook: it's hard to accept that things happen for a reason when it hurts so much, but I have found in my much longer life that everything that happens does have a reason. Can't see it now, but you will some day.

I laughed when I read that you are finding you can cook and clean when not working so much! I know the feeling. Thankfully I married a man who doesn't mind doing the cleaning, and I've always loved to cook.

Good luck in your new home, with your new hubby. Looking forward to pics too.
