Seriously....

I swear to God I feel every step I take when planning this wedding there comes with it an issue....c'monnnnnnnn .... I feel like a raw nerve and everything is hitting me to the nth degree! grrrrrrrrrr

I ordered my Unity Candle and Memorial Candle through someone on Etsy.
Paid for these candles  by check and she cashed that mofo right away and this was 2 months ago. I have had to constantly follow up with her. Almost sounds like the BS I went through ordering my wedding invites. She was a complete airhead. Every time I had to follow up there's was always a lame excuse and stories of woes that I really didn't want to get into with her. I was trying to keep it professional.

Fast forward -  I'm in the home stretch as I just wanted to get these candles. She tells me 2 weeks ago she was making a label for them to mail them uhhh alrighty then. Said she was mailing them out Monday 3/7 via Fed Ex. Last time I checked fed ex was a faster delivery. Didn't get the package. She finally responds 4 days later. And says the same thing but begins to tell me how she had tooth surgery or whatever the hell the crsis was and she still woldn't give me the tracking number.

So I still don't have the candles, The check was cashed 2 months ago. She has not responded to my 3 emails or 2 voice mails and I  don't have the candles - God only knows where they are and I have no recourse. :-(
I don't even think there's a customer service contact on Etsy?!

Safe to say - Anyone who thinks of ordering from Ashley Nicole Designs from Etsy.... Find someone else! 

LOL I feel like I'm becomming a really angry bride! hahaha.......what makes me angry is incompetent people who should not be in business when they don't know how to conduct themselves in a professional manner moreso, even trying to run a business.

    I am sorry that you have to deal with more issues again. Maybe you can replicate what you liked from her and make it yourself? Then get your money back from her. I am not sure how refunds work with Etsy but I would look around on the website and see what her policy on her page states. Most are individual through the seller unfortunately.

    That stinks! What was it going to look like? Do you have an inspiration picture? It might be less stress to DIY, or have someone here help you DIY..

    Thanks Kris - I thought it was me. I feel like I need to go and get holy water thrown on me at some point!.....my karma is usually good!

    I'll wait another week and if nothing arrives I'll have to move forward in either doing a DIY project or just litterally go and just find 2 candles.

    I'm throwing my hands up -- I just don't get it.

    I probably could try and copy it. I think what's bothering me more is the memorial candle. I found this beautiful poem to put on it and I got her to understand the look I really wanted.

    I think I'm just feeling really out of sorts not having my Mom around to help me. 
    And I'm obviously dealing w/ people who do this kind of stuff as a 2nd job - altho this girl didn't sound like it was a 2nd job it sounded like this was all she did.
    God forbid I asked her how she was doing? It just always sounded like she was in the eye of a storm! ..... Whatever - can't really do anything about it. I guess that's the chance I took instead of getting recommended.

    If need be I'll conquer this as well. Just another add on I didn't expect.

    Just thought I'd post this for girls like me to be more aware.

    Dispute it. I just did this with a wallet I had custom made in January. You have to report a non-delivery case. And there's a way you can chat with someone on Etsy.

    That's ridiculous and totally unprofessional! I hope you leave feedback for others to see. I've never ordered from Etsy, but I imagine there has to be a way to dispute it.

    I ran into the same problem for a July 2, 2011 wedding.  Her shop as been closed down by Etsy twice now for this problem.  Paypal can only help if it is less than 45 days from purchase to file a claim.  We are past that.  I found another candle shop on Etsy that is actually much better and established.  She is making us a set and rushing out to us so we have a candle in time to travel out of the country for the wedding.  I wish we had used her to begin with.  If you haven't solved your issue and gotten a candle yet you might check out www.wreathartist.etsy.com and tell her you are one of Ashley's customers.  She said what Ashley has done has hurt all of the candle shops on Etsy.  Her feedback is 100% and she has over 1800 sales so I feel like I am in safe hands now.
