Looking for Venue that lets us bring our own alcohol!

And I'm having terrible luck! The only place I can find is where his brother got married, and that's out of the question...
We live in Almont, MI and would appreciate a venue for both the ceremony and reception within 50 miles from there (zip code 48003, its inbetween Romeo/Washington and Imlay City/Lapeer)
We also want somewhere with an indoor ceremony and reception area, but my fiance is dead set on bringing our own alcohol.... anyone know of anywhere I could check out?
Thanks!!!!

  • Have you tried Circa 1843 Events?  http://www.circa1843.com/  Their website makes me think you'd be able to bring in your own alcohol.

Would you be open to Flint? The Flint Institute of Arts has a couple beautiful spaces to rent for events and their alcohol beverage policy is that it must either be through an approved caterer with appropriate licensing or the renter may obtain a special one day liquor license from the state.
  • Grosse Pointe War Memorial you have to bring in your own alcohol. You also have to have a relative that is/was a service member, and it's very psosible this is over 50 miles from you, but that's the only one I personally know of. Have you looked into Metroparks or state parks? Some have indoor facilities and allow you to bring in your own stuff.

  • Greenmead in Livonia is often suggested but it might be more than 50 miles away.

  • Blossom Heath in St Clair Shores is really really pretty and you bring your own!! My close friend got married there this past May!

  • Oakwood Wedding Chapel in Oxford. The owner is amazing and they have very affordable packages and allows you to bring your own alcohol. They provide everything else- food, tables/chairs, linens, bartenders, officant, tuxes, invitations...I got married there in July of this year and I was so happy with how everything turned out.

  • T-Plex in Detroit lets you bring your own alcohol, but is probably out of your 50 mile range.

From wedding venues that we checked out-I know of two, and both allow for ceremony/reception to be in the same location. They might be a little far for you, but figured I'd mention it anyways.

Plymouth Manor in Plymouth (Completely indoor venue with indoor chapel)
and Earhart Manor in Ann Arbor (Completely outdoor venue, a couple different places onsite that you could have the ceremony. They use a tent for the reception, but it's not your typical tent-it's beautifully draped. And there's a really pretty patio area for cocktails)
