Wedding Officiants

My fiance and I are getting married in October.  We live in DC, so I have no idea who to turn to regarding the wedding officiant.  We're probably looking for a non-denom ceremony as our family has a rainbow of religions.

Any suggestions?  I'm looking for someone who will work at our venue (Stoney Creek Metro Park) and is reasonably priced.  Since we're from out of town, we'll need to do most of our interaction via email.

Thanks!

Do you have a close friend or family member that would consider getting officiated to marry you and your FI??? Just a thought ~ My FI and I have a friend who has done a few weddings and is close to both of us so it became an easy decision. Might be a special honor someone may be happy to do for the two of you :))

We are using Reverend Fred Jolicoeur. He has been great to work with and is awesome at responding to e-mails. I think he charges about $450 for the works ceremony. He does have a lower priced package that is around $300. Here's his Knot link. Tell him Corinne sent you :)

I suggest Reverend Carl Vogler. He is a really nice guy, and I think we are paying like $350.

I hear you. I'm in CA and it is crazy trying to find someone! As long as your date isn't the same as mine (10-10-10) then check out Rev. Concetta Pampinella. I believe ours is going to come out to be around 250 or less. She does pre-written and custom ceremonies :)

We are having a family member (my FI cousin) do the ceremony for us.  He can go online to become ordained for a minimal fee.  We choose to go this way for a couple of reason, the first was that I'm Catholic and he is Jewish and neither family wanted a ceremony to be more one than another. The second reason which is really why we decided to go this way was because we always hate going to weddings where the person doing the wedding doesn't really know the couple well and the ceremony is a little awkward.  This way we have someone who knows both of us and can really come from the heart.

Check with Rev. Pamela Klusack.  She will be doing my DD's wedding and she is $150.  Her website is www.matrimonyandmore.com.
