NWR: I got a promotion at work this week! i work in a hospital as a cardiac sonographer and I went from "contingent" to full time which means I now get guarenteed 40 hours, benefits, holiday pay etc!

I FINALLY ordered my shoes for the wedding!  They came in on Tuesday and I LOVE them.  They look better than they did in the pictures online and are really, really comfortable.  I'll try to remember to PIP when I get home.

So lots of AW for me this week!

We finally ordered our invites!    Yeah!!  Good news is that the printer is not super busy, so they said 2-3 day turn around then shipping time to get them to me.  So hoping to have them before the new year! 

Also scheduled my first dress fitting for Janurary 14th! 

Oh and Saturday is our 3 month mark!! 

Things are starting to get exciting as we get closer.

My only AW is that tonight is taco night, we're also making fudge, and my best friend is coming over to watch loads of Dane Cook (don't judge).

Today marks 170 days til our wedding! Yay! I'm starting to freak out a little bit, but luckily I work at a university and I have the week off after Christmas to get lots of wedding stuff done.

Also, I ordered a Gocco to DIY my invites, cocktail napkins, etc., and it will be here tomorrow!

I finished reading Mitch Albom's For One More Day about an hour ago. 

I was notified that my cheek sample for the marrow donor registry is going to be receiving additional tissue typing. This may be common, but those that receive additional tissue typing are five times more likely to be selected as a match for a patient!

My ring came back yesterday from being resized so today is the first day that I can wear it. I'm ridiculously happy!!

Congrats! It definitely feels different...I am at just over 5 months out and I feel you!

Got my wedding ring set in the mail yesterday, and my sister said she'd go halfsies with me on a Silhouette Cameo vinyl/die cutter, so now I'll be able to make all my paper products for the wedding easier and PRETTIER!

I justify buying an expensive piece of equipment like that because I can also use it for freelance projects and maybe make some additional stuff to sell on etsy. So essentially I should be able to make it pay for itself in time....right? right.

Oooh, I'm jealous! I saw a really cool blog post where someone replaced the blade with Silhouette mini pens and did "calligraphy" on their invitation envelopes! I seriously considered buying one just for that. But I did just buy a Gocco screen printer for my paper DIYs, so I'm not sure I can justify the Silhouette right now :)

My AW is that I'm having my first consultation with my florist on Saturday. She is my FSIL's MIL and basically does all of the wedding flowers in our town and I love her! We see each other at get togethers at FSIL's house all  the time and have talked about her doing my flowers several times, so even though I still have 18 months left, we figured we might as well have a professional consultation and get the basics set. I'm excited because this is the only wedding related planning I have done besides Church/venue booking!!

Any suggestions about what I should have ready for the appointment?
