Sheet cakes

I am having trouble finding the prices for sheet cakes. Has anyone purchased a full our half sheet that they can remember the price off hand? So far, I have sweet dreams, lakes cakes, and pastry palace. Im deciding if I should just do sheets for my wedding.

Re: Sheet cakes

  • I ordered a 4 tier cake and 2 sheet cakes (enough for 300 people) from Josef's and it was just over $2 per person.  Their sheet cake prices were $100 each or $1 per person.  I'm not sure if that's because we ordered a cake or not.

I would call the bakeries but for the two I talked to the first one was $1 less per serving for the kitchen cake than the price of the main cake (so depended on your flavors and filling), the second one had a flat rate of $40 for a quarter sheet or 10" round and $66 for a half sheet

Thank you, I keep getting a weird vibe when I say its for my wedding but I don't want a tiered cake. Perhaps ill just leave that part out from now on. Thanks again!
  • I did a faux tiered cake and 2 sheet cakes from Nicole's Sweet Topping for 100 people (estimated that we would have 125 people). The total cost was $250, and we ended up taking home a full sheet cake. She bakes from her home and was very delicious! Loved working with her too!
  • Costco sheet cakes are AMAZING!!!!!! I have purchased them several times for special events. They make one with white frosting all over it, and white roses & lattice on the top. They have 3-4 flavors of cake, plus 3-4 different mousse fillings. They are $17 for a full sheet that feeds 48 people. I LOVE THEM.
  • I was looking at Costco first but the one that I went to only had cheesecake and chocolate filling. I reall wanted a fruit in there somewhere.
  • You can special order them. They used to have either a strawberry or raspberry mousse filling, not sure if they still do.
