Michigan-Detroit

reception sites in/around royal oak

Hey ladies... I have no date and no church yet, but trying to do some research on various metro-detroit areas.

I didn't necessarily want to do the whole "banquet hall" thing, but it turns out alternatives are really expensive!

The places that we've been looking at so far have been around $55-$65/plate - some have included alcohol and some have not (we'd prefer not to do buffet).  I'm totally fine paying that as long as the food is pretty darn good.  Other than good food, my only extra ask is that its not a normal banquet room (but that's something I'm definitely willing to compromise on.

Since I don't have a church yet, I'm totally flexible on area (we will be getting married in a TBD catholic church).  i'm just wanting my church and reception site to be close to each other and close to hotels as we'll have a lot of out of town guests.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure how much it costs but I have a friend getting married at Red Run Country Club and I thought that sounded like a different kind of place that I normally wouldn't have thought of.

I dont know how far you want to go, but I am getting married at Laurel Manor in Livonia next year.  Amazing food and they have great promotions.  Everything is going great and we have a hotel with free shuttle service because most of my family is from California.  I definetly recommend them, there sales staff is very accomodating.
