Stressed and bummed :(

Never thought I would be writing one of these posts but we just found out our photographer has breast cancer and as a result of starting chemo will not be shooting our wedding.  Her assistant got another photographer to cover our wedding, but I checked out their work and I don't really care for it.  So now on top of feeling sort of guilty for starting the process with the original photog to get our deposits back (something the assistant said she wasn't sure could be done because "nobody's canceled yet") I need to find a photographer in our price range, that we like, that is available on our date.  Any suggestions for amazing photographers who might have availability on Oct 27?

Sorry you are going through this...(and her too).....I am not sure about the photographer, but I am going through a similar issue with our venue, and know how it feels.

I hope you can find someone that you love for your special day.

Not sure of your budget, but they will work with you and I die for her work. Its a girl, Meghan, and she is amazing.

I paid 1800 for my package, 2 photogs, 9 hours , full rights etc. got rid of photobooks and added hours.

This is who I booked for my Oct 6th weekend and I just checked her online calendar and it looks like she is free.  I love her work and she has been very responsive.  Sorry that happened, but I am sure it will work out.  Good Luck!

I 2nd The Camera Chick, they were great.  My cousin is also using them Oct 12, their price was $1800 I believe for all day coverage, 2 photographers, full rights and editing.

We are using Stevie B. Photography for our wedding next summer. When we booked our engagement shoot, she mentioned having some fall dates available for weddings!

I will admit that upon looking at his website, I was skeptical. But he is a friend of a friend and I met with him and was AMAZED. I loved the albums he showed us, and he gave us an amazing deal. Our package included an engagment session, unlimited hours of photgraphy, an album for us that he graphically designs himself, and a second photographer for just over 2000, as well as several professional prints (I don't remember the details off the top of my head). We also get a disk as well as a preview book with ALL of our photos, and will own the rights to all of them included in the above price. He's also really great about customizing packages because if there's something in there you feel you don't want, he doesn't feel you should have to pay for it. He's also a really nice guy and this is his self-run business.  Of all  the things that I'm doing for my wedding-I don't worry for a second that anything with him will go wrong. He's been more than accomodating to us.
