Red Shoes? For Bridesmaids, not Bride

I've searched a lot of the boards here, but mostly I find opinion seekers looking for their own shoes. My girls are going to wear red dresses for a July wedding and I'm on the fence for what color shoes they should wear. I'm perfectly fine with telling them to wear whatever shoes they want, but should I tell them to wear red? Black? I don't think silver will look good with the red. 

I see lots of red shoes that I like, but they can get pricey and I am not that demanding. 

Looking for your thoughts! TIA!

I would go with neutral like black, silver (I think it would look fine), or champagne.  I would steer away from red because of the whole versatility and having the girls wear shoes they will get multiple use out of.

I don't like the matchy matchy shoes, so I agree with julie and say go with black, silver or champagne.  This way the girls can more that likely wear again.  And can you imagine how hard it would be to find red shoes that match the dress without dyables?

Ditto the black and silver choices. I think either of those colors would look just fine.
