With the 4th of July come and gone, what non-wedding goals do you have for the rest of summer?

Go up North?  Trip to Cedar Point? Do some gardening?  Tell us!

From here on out it's a WR summer, so I really had to think about this one... Clean out my apartment in an organized manner and not a crazed rush the night before I move. Go out for dinner with FI more during the week and not just on the weekends.

1) Finish and defend my thesis
2) Get married
3) Pack up and move to Chicago!

I would love to do more, but its seems like that list is more than keeping me busy.

It really seems like the summer is going to fast. Thursday we are headed to cedar point for the day! Next month we are going to head down to Kings Island and The beach waterpark for my 30th birthday. We are also gonna have a yard sale. Id love more beach days and bon fire nights too.

Good morning! This summer is going extremely fast. For the rest of the season:

1)survive another semester
2) get married
3)Honeymoon
4)move into FH's house

I really want to spend some time and give my house a good deep cleaning and organize it. I have been crazy busy lately and just feel like an unorganized mess.

My goal is to spend some more time outside.  With summer half over, I feel like I just have not been able to sit outside with a good book.

And I always regret come fall when it starts getting too cold to do anything outside and I feel guilty that I wasted the summer.

Man, I really need to get on the WR ball with the last few months of summer! But, in the NWR category, I'd REALLY like to take a mini-vacay to the UP. FI and I both started new gigs earlier in the year, and I have significantly less vacation time than I did at the old job. So, between that and still feeling like a newbie, I haven't taken any time!

This summer I want to be able to spend more time outside, yesterday was the first day I have enjoyed any sun all summer.  It is also a goal to go golfing a few times before fall.  And I want to lose 1 more dress size by September 1st.

1.  Finish our patio (cut out the grass, lay the concrete, buy a new grill, etc)
2.  Complete the Black Bear Century Bike Ride on July 31st...biking from Grayling to Oscoda.
3.  Host another great Fantasy Football draft party for my league
4.  Kenny Chesney concert on August 20th at Forld Field

1. Get our house organized

2. Start cooking more.  Maybe get a grill (we'll need to get on the ball with that one if we want to get use out of it this summer)

3. We've talked about maybe going camping for a weekend in August/early September, although I'm not sure if we'll be able to take work off now.

Hamiltks I'm going to Kenny chesney & zac brown band too! My big goal for the summer is to have a garage sale and get rid of all this stuff I no longer need! Also have a ton of fun before I start grad school in the fall!

2) Take a relaxing vacation up north and do not touch anything work related
3) Go to Chicago
4) Scuba dive more
5) Get my latest study published

to be honest, WR stuff is the least of my worries.. um hello- i'm having a BABY in 4 months!!! omg  lol.

So my NWR goals are: getting my house in order/rearranged for Maddie (baby). trying to get all the furniture in place and get all my step kid's crap they dont use/need out!!

trying to get out dogs out to some shows because the bigger i get the less likely i'll be to show them- which makes me sad

Fi is taking his sons upnorth. we usually go as a family but i couldn't go last year and this year we're having scheduling issues with my mom (who watches our dogs because they cant be in the heat). so i HOPE i get a chance to make it upnorth for at least a couple days.

and hopefully i can get some wedding stuff figured out... i really need to get into gear. lol

Summer has really just started here in Seattle, so enjoying it!  I finally got FI to run a race with me, so we are excited to do the warrior dash in a few weeks.

Also, my moh is going to have twins any day now, so spending any time back in MI with them is a big priority.

Everything else is wedding related

At the end of the month I got us tix to the Twins v. Tigers here in Minnesota so I can root for my Detroit team! August after my bridal shower in MI I'm taking a road trip back to Iowa with my niece but not before we stay the night in Chicago and do some shopping! Trying to get my ducks in a row and see if I can get my Masters starting in Jan. Fingers crossed!

Where in Minnesota are you?  I grew up in the Minneapolis area and my parents are still there.

Oh and I'll be rooting for the Twins :)

I have two big important goals for the rest of the summer:

1. Get a postdoc lined up.

2. Move out to California to be with my FI!!
