You all asked for NWR posts...get ready :)

Anyone watch American Horror Story? Wednesday's are mine and FI's favorite so we can watch it. We DVR everything---but this is one thing we always have to watch live!

It's getting totally crazy. I didn't expect last weeks reveal at all!

    We love it!  I unfortunately read a thread on TN two weeks ago that was talking about what various people thought was going to happen last week, and basically everyone guessed it.  So much so that I started feeling pretty dumb for not having seen it coming.  :P

    I won't watch it if DH can't be home for some reason, though.  It totally creeps me out.  The first time latex-suit guy showed up, I wouldn't open up my eyes in the middle of the night for four days because I was sure he'd be standing in the bedroom doorway.

    It's about a family who's in trouble (wife had a miscarriage; husband cheated while she was recovering; teenage daughter is...well, she's a teenage girl) who moves out to California to "start fresh."  They end up buying an enormous Victorian mansion which is on the market for suspiciously cheap.

    It turns out that the house has an incredibly sordid past, with one horror story after another connected to it.  And it's definitely haunted, although the family members each come to that realization at different times.  Once they realize that basically every family since the first who's lived in the house has died horribly, often with insanity involved, they want to get out - but now they can't get anyone to buy it and they can't afford to pay to live anywhere else.

    And, of course, there's a whole awesome cast of super-creepy, off characters surrounding the house who all seem to know waaayyy more than they're letting on about the property's past: the housekeeper, the crazy aging debutante neighbor, the strange man who used to live there and now shows up unannounced, the slightly off young man who's the husband's patient (he's a psychiatrist) who seems to be showing too much interest in the daughter....

    Each week, a little more about the history of the house is revealed - as well as a little more about what's actually going on right now.  Nothing is ever as it seems...whoooOOOOOooooo....  :)

    Sounds really intriguing but I will definitely not be watching that show.  Are you afraid the dark always freaked me out so I can't imagine watching the adult version.

    What's interesting is that it's not "scary". No jumping or screaming at parts. It's more of a " what! That's so weird". I love it.
