Reception entrance

Hi! I am so confused on what music to pick for the entrance. Any suggestions? Something up beat .... thanks for the help!!!!

Re: Reception entrance

  • You should pick something that is special to you and your FI.  I wanted to make a unique entrance, so we first played our slideshow of pictures set to the song Such Great Heights by the Postal Service which has really poigniant lyrics.  We even showed some of lyrics (about two people who were created for each other) on the screen during it.  At the end of the slideshow, the DJ continued the music and we walked in.

That said, I stood up in a wedding a few years ago and the bride wanted us all to walk in, make a bridge so the next couple walked under it set to Hands in the Ay-er by Flo Rida.  Not my style but the bride was thrilled so we were happy to oblige!
  • I agree with Amy, don't you and your fiance have a favorite upbeat song? Could be something cheeky, or sexy, or just says something to you.

We are huge sports fans, so we walked in to the "Homerun Song" from "The Natural". If you've seen the movie, it's the song that plays when he hits the home run to win the game at the end. Some stadiums (not Comerica) play it when their home team hits a home run. We just happened to think it was perfect for us.
  • I agree with the pp's... something personal and fun. That said, this was the hardest song for us to pick, nothing seemed "right" or upbeat enough... until we heard Blink 182 "Rock Show" randomly on the radio ... we first exchanged phone number after hanging out at a concert so it was perfect...

  • We wanted to make it fun and upbeat too, so since I am a teacher, and he is a huge Van Halen fan, we are doing "Hot for teacher"  hahaha :)
  • Keep it fun and upbeat. We walked in to Eddie Money, Take Me Home Tonight.
