SNOW SUCKS!!!!

My son flew in and surprised me last week, his 24th birthday was Wednesday. Now he has a flight this afternoon at 3:45 back to DC, and I have to go out in this crap! I've become very spoiled working from home, and since my daughter's schools are closed this week for winter break, I was looking forward to an easy week, LOL. So far his flight is "on schedule", but I'm watching it.

How is it by everyone else? Bad drive to work? Have to dig out?

I was just getting ready to post this!  I am too so sick of snow!  We have had enough.  Luckily I have the day off for Presidents Day today.  So I don't have to go anywhere, but I wanted to go test drive some cars.  I have to turn mine in soon.  Figures.  I did have to clean off my car that was parked outside last night.  Since we have a jetski, we can only fit one car in the garage.  It's fine most days, but not on days like today.  :(  Stupid snow!  GO AWAY!!!!

I had the day off of work today, but I had an early class that was luckily cancelled. However, the downfall is that it's a Emergency Medical First Responder course and you need x many hours to get certified... so hopefully the snow day does ruin that for me.

Although, I do have an appointment at David's Bridal this evening for my cousin's wedding (two weeks before mine and I'm a BM!) so that'll be a fun drive - luckily it'll be in the evening, so hopefully the roads won't be TOO terrible.

I understand it's still February and we've had snow on my Dad's birthday (April 22) before, BUT seeing more green than white was nice... I was hoping for it all to be gone and done with by March!

Well, I hope you ladies make the best of today! xo

I made it into work with very little problems except that I think I am stuck in the parking lot.  Apparently the company that plows for the office building didn't think its necessary to plow yet because the lot is untouched.  FI is going to bring me a shovel so I can get out tonight.  Hopefully I can make it out since he is flying out this afternoon and I don't want to be stuck here!

As far as service streets, Madison Heights and Royal Oak I could see the lines but Troy and Clawson is just tire tracks, doesn't look like a plow went through them yet.

Our parking lot was not yet plowed either...it'll be a mess to get out this afternoon.

My FI was supposed to fly this morning from Detroit to Memphis.  They cancelled his flight yesterday, and rebooked him through Atlanta to Memphis.  He got out of bed and dressed (at 3:30 AM, no less) and then realized that his plane to Atlanta was going to be too late for him to get his connection.   So now he's on a noon plane to Memphis.

But at least he was around to help me dig my car out!

Be careful though because Davids is on the border of Troy and sometimes John R around there still isn't that good.

My stupid apartment complex wasn't plowed at all this morning!!  Barely got out.  But once I was on the road, it wasn't too bad.  I think it helped that there were not too many cars on the roads.

Those 50 degree days we had were such a tease! It makes snow seem even worse!

I'm lucky to have a job where I can work anywhere that has an internet connection. My little rollerskate of a car wouldn't make it out of my driveway!

We got a snow day today so I was actually super pumped.  I wasn't even expecting it so I woke up as normal and jumped in the shower.  Todd knocked on the door and told me my co-worker was calling which I thought was really weird.   After I got out of the shower I listened to the voicemail saying that we were closed today :)

So I dried off, put my hair up wet, and went back to sleep :)  Although I was already awake so it took awhile to fall back asleep but I'm not complaining!

I was in Raleigh for the weekend visiting my bridesmaids and we had 70 degree weather.  Why on earth was I ever crazy enough to move up here!?!?!? hahaha. My flight was cancelled last night but I made it out on the 6 AM this morning, drove 2 hours to work (it usually takes about 45 minutes from the airport) and found that everyone o my floor is working from home! hahaha! Oh well, at least I'm dedicated. :)
