Tell Us Tuesday

If you could go back to one age in your life and relive it what would it be and why?

Oooh, great question! Tough one too.

I'm assuming we don't have the ability to "foresee" what our future holds.

I would probably say when I was 16........not because it was so great, but because that was the year before my brother died. He died 5 days before my
17th birthday, when he was 13. He was the sweetest kindest kid and I don't think he ever knew how much I loved him. You know how "big" teen-aged sisters are to their little brothers.......leave me alone! Get out of my room! I was into my friends, he was just "there".

But hindsight is 20-20, and I probably would not have known I didn't have him for long. His death taught me so much about life, a lesson I've never forgotten, and one that has become so paramount in my day to day living. Life is short. Watch out for everyone you love. Let them know how you feel.

Sorry this might be a downer. But you asked!

Oooh, I like this one :-) I would say 18 because I was a senior in high school and it was such a blast :-) Early 20's were good too living in my own apartment off campus right by Oakland University with one of my best girlfriends :-) Also good times :-) Many of my friends are already married, I'm one of 3 left that are yet to be married and I just loved the times we had just being silly girls together. Harder to do with jobs, husbands and kids. It's still fun; just a different kind of fun that comes with getting older and mature I guess :-)

Oh Sue - your story made me tear up at my desk. ::hugs:: I'm so sorry you had to learn such a difficult thing at a young age.

Sue - I am so sorry!  That must have been so difficult for you.

I would have to agree with Frances and say 18.  That was by far the BEST year.  I was a senior in high school, graduated, had the best summer ever I think, and met FI at the end of the summer and we started dating soon after that.  I also went away to school, which was alright, but I had the best semester of college ever and rocked out a 3.8 GPA which has yet to ever happen again.  It was a good year.

If I could go back I'd probably go back to when I was 15 and met the first 'boyfriend' and not dated him or any of the other losers I dated up until I was 19. I would've gone away to school (I stayed in the area for a boy - so stupid) and studied abroad in college.

I love my life now, but I wish I had spent more time enjoying being single as a teenager.

17-18 My senior year of high school into the summer after. It was honestly the most fun time of my life and when FI and I started dating! Always the fun part of the relationship:)

If I could go back I'd probably go back to when I was 15 -16 and still living in Georgia. I would focus more on doing good in school and keep in contact with all of my friends better after the move.

I totally agree with Erin. I wish I could go back to my younger high school years when I was treated like crap by numerous jerks, also I would have been able to spend more time with my late-grandmother whom I was extremely close to before she died but may have taken for granted when I was younger.

There are so many times I wish I had done things differently but that is why we grow up and mature with every experience we endure.
