Engagement fever?

How many other people do you ladies know who have become engaged recently/around the time you did?  We got engaged on Dec 11 and I can think of at least 3 other couples who have gotten engaged since then, and I have at least one other friend who was engaged before that. 

Maybe it's just my circle of friends, but does it seem to go in waves with anyone else? Like death coming in threes?

Were pretty much the last of our friends.  We have a few single friends but there not really seeing anyone.  But I know of quite a few ppl who have recently got engaged.  My circle of freinds is more about having kids.  One friend had a baby in Nov, one is due in April, one is due in May and another is due in Aug.

Alot of our friends got engaged recently. Some of them got engaged after us and are getting married before us. We have 4 or 5 weddings to go to and last year we had 6. Hopefully we'll be done for a while after this year.

I feel the same way! I have 2 step-sisters (one on each side) getting married this year, one in May and one in August, My 2 best friends from HS are both getting married in June, and 5 friends from College have recently gotten engaged! I love it

I hear ya!!! It totally comes in waves! I'm one of the last but just got news from a friend today that the ring is coming in a few days!!! I have one other friend that will be engaged in no time too - Im so excited to have other friends to be engaged with!!!!

A little bit. but most of my friends are the gradschool/medical school type crowd and are single. But I will have 2 weddings on the same day this year!

We've actually been pretty spread out in our weddings. One friend got married a couple years ago. Two got married last summer. I'm getting married next year. Haha so no, it didn't all happen at the same time.

Babies and weddings definitely go in waves with my friends.  in the 2 years since I moved here 4 of my friends have had babies and there are 2 more on the way right now!

I'm looking forward to having someone else to talk wedding with...I spend all day TK so I guess that goes without saying, lol.

both my FBIL and FI's cousin got engaged on friday last week.

I agree.  FI has two really good friends who were engaged shortly before us and a cousin of mine who got engaged after us.

Man, I feel the same way.  Andy and I counted and we've been dating 4 years and we've been to something like 22 weddings together.  We're just at that point in our lives where everyone is settling down, getting married, and having kids.

But let's hope that calling off weddings doesn't come in threes!  We've had two people call off their wedding in the past two weeks.  One was planning to get married in December and we weren't shocked that it was called off because its been postponed 3 times and they weren't making ANY plans.  But the other one was called off last Saturday and they were supposed to be getting married tomorrow.  Yikes!

Same situation here...my friend (who's also my BM) got engaged a couple of weeks ago and so did her brother.  We have at least four weddings to go to this year and are now on pace to have a couple more next year.

We're an office of 39 people... Only 7 of us aren't married. 3 of us have gotten engaged since 2010 started. SOunds like fever to me!

This is definitely the time for our friends to be getting married.  FI's friend got engaged 3 days before us, then we have had 4 other friend's get engaged in the past couple months along with two weddings!  They're dropping like flies!

I was still at school when we got engaged, and since we didn't get engaged very close to a holiday I enjoyed a good three weeks before another girl from the dorms got engaged, and I didn't even know her... hehehe!
It's always seemed to me that all the engagements come at holidays- Thanksgiving and Christmas, and Valentine's day, or during the summer while everyone is not worrying about school. I was really thankful when some other good friends got engaged, so I could have some others to talk wedding with!
